Dogecoin has not much prospect of development in the future, I just see that every year it has 1 or 2 times big pump. Compared with other alternative cryptocurrencies on the market, Dogecoin seems to have something unique that's loved by many crypto enthusiasts worldwide. Even Ethereum's Vitalik Buterin seems to be quite optimistic about the same.

While it's unlikely that Dogecoin will reach higher prices in the future, it could reach the moon in terms of user adoption soon. People will begin to notice the true benefits of Dogecoin, making them join the cryptocurrency revolution. After all, Dogecoin is much easier to obtain than most cryptocurrencies on the market because of its inexpensive nature. It's never meant to be taken seriously, since it was created only for fun by the founders themselves.

Nonetheless, with McAfee sharing positive comments related to Dogecoin, we should experience a boost over it's mainstream adoption soon. I have the same sentiments towards doge also. This is the altcoin I always go for whenever I need to transfer money from one exchange to another. And yes, this might be also the reason why even small exchanges list doge as it is one of the most common altcoins among exchanges, which you can trade easily. Even if the developments are at halt, still the use case of doge in trading and transferring purposes are still significant.

John McAfee for me is not an authority any more long ago, all remember his promise which he isn't going to carry out. And Dogecoin is not very interesting for me personally. I use it only for exchange between exchanges. For another, I do not see how else this altcoin can be used.

No one knows when crypto will go to the moon. Their movement in price is largely unpredictable. The situation becomes worse with inflationary cryptocurrencies like Dogecoin and LiteDoge. Because of their design, it's probable that their price will decline over time. Despite these facts, crypto is known to behave in strange and bizarre ways. It would be surprising to see a highly-inflationary cryptocurrency such as Dogecoin becoming worth $0.10 in the future. If that becomes a reality, then many early adopters of today, will become wealthy within a few years from now.

I believe that McAfee was highly optimistic about Dogecoin's future. After all, it's the perfect cryptocurrency for micropayments because of its fast and inexpensive nature. With these features, it's probable that it'll become widely adopted by the mainstream world soon. People are starting to use DOGE as a serious cryptocurrency, despite being created as a mere joke. With an impeccable community, Dogecoin can survive for a long time. Which is why, I believe that Dogecoin will go to the moon in terms of mainstream adoption over time. One of the most common weakness of dogecoin is the total supply which is outlandish. Dogecoin has been in the market for a very long time, but the value doesn't seem to exceed a few Satoshi. Dogecoin has got a strong and supportive community which will make it live for long term due to its quick transaction confirmation and low transaction fees. Well.. the problem is that no one takes him seriously anymore. During the ICO boom, some of the scam projects hired him as a promoter. He managed to attract some investment, but in the end those projects flopped as they didn't had any solid logic. Those who invested lost their money and the ICO team vanished with whatever they could collect from the investors. Loser McAfee maintained a low profile for sometime after that, but his greed for more money got him out of his cave during the first quarter of 2019.

The biggest joke is that he wants to participate in the 2020 POTUS elections, on a Libertarian Party ticket. I am not sure whether the Libertarians are that deranged to make him their presidential candidate. The latest update is that he had been imprisoned for a few days in the Dominican Republic (last month) and after being freed he went to the United Kingdom.

Maybe he's getting paid or maybe not. After all, he's been promoting crypto for a very long time. Sometimes his predictions don't come true, as crypto behaves in strange and bizarre ways. It's odd to see McAfee having an interest in Dogecoin, since it's largely abandoned in development and innovation. Still though, Dogecoin has been proven to be quite versatile for micropayments unlike most cryptocurrencies being traded on the market today. It could go to the moon in terms of user adoption within the mainstream world, but not in price.

If Dogecoin wants to reach new ATHs in price, it needs to perform some drastic changes in its design. The current limitless supply of DOGE, makes it terrible as a long term investment. However, it's still useful as a currency for daily payments. Somehow, Dogecoin has managed to gather a large number of people into it without being actively maintained by its developers. With a friendly community behind it, I'm sure that it'll last for many years to come.

Nonetheless, McAfee's prediction might become a reality in the future if people take their part in improving and supporting the cryptocurrency in every way. Once it resurrects in development and innovation, then it could spur a new wave of investors into it. As a result, prices will rise like never before greatly benefiting early adopters of the same. I got the impression that he was paid for advertising and he was ready to believe in any project for money.
