We all say that we don't believe McAfee but he has many followers which believe him, he can say air will be the next big thing and people will believe him and invest in air. Dogecoin is at 27 sat level and in July it was at 30 sat level, so much of his words.

I guess I can understand Elon Musk because he is a troll inside and he is just mocking when he says dogecoin is one of his favorite coins, its not because of any technological or investment approach but because he thinks its funny and has no purpose but to just have fun, buying dogecoin for investment purposes would be super silly but using it for funding weird stuff is one of cryptos biggest amusements.

However, John Mcafee is just a pure idiot and a moron so when he says dogecoin will go to moon he probably means it and believes it himself, not because of any fundamental reason but because he is a fool. Doge may go up a bit that is for sure but that doesn't mean it will ever worth to something, its a joke money a meme money and nothing more and will never be anything more than that.

I think DOGE coin was just one of those early MEME coins that took off and collected many fans. Even though it isn't as useful as other coin projects, because of it's social media tipping type aspect, it has kind of become one used for tipping, micro job, entertainment coins that people love to give out on social media, etc. Well, John Mcaffee can tweet about every random thing, but it doesn't necessarily mean that because JM tweeted about it, that it will become a roaring success. He tweets are usually very fleeting and it's just random sensationalism. Of course, I won't knock him for liking Crypto and supporting it, so for that reason, I have a fairly neutral stance as regards to his Crypto Tweets and Tweet about DOGE coin. It pumps and dumps at random times of the year, that's a bot it really.

I never believe what others say, not even blockchain leaders. They just manipulate market and basically steal peoples money by moving coins up n down thanks to their false claims. Agree. McAfee made some wild speculations about Dogecoin, without a proper understanding of "cryptoeconomics". He just focuses on shilling specific cryptocurrencies for his own financial benefit. Because of this, no crypto enthusiast has take his word seriously. With an uncapped supply and inactive development, it's hard to believe that Dogecoin "will go to the moon" anytime soon. But I believe that it could gain massive adoption within the mainstream world because of its inexpensiveness and quick transaction speed. Compared with prominent cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, Dogecoin has cheaper fees and faster speeds enabling anyone to send money worldwide at a fraction of the cost. It's one of the oldest altcoins out there that has managed to survive over the years, because of the community supporting it.

No matter which prominent figure within the mainstream world talks positively about a cryptocurrency, it's necessary to perform a research instead of being based on other's opinion. If you do this, you'll be able to gain control of your financial life within crypto. Despite the many downsides of Dogecoin, I believe that it's a cryptocurrency that will last a lifetime. Using DOGE for quick trades or tipping others seem to be its use cases these days. Until it receives the attention of a prominent development team, it will remain stagnant in price for years to come.

Nonetheless, Dogecoin might go to the moon in terms of user adoption than anything else. We'll just have to wait and see what happens over time as new cryptocurrencies and ideas emerge within the Blockchain industry. If McAfee turns out to be right, then I believe that many early adopters of DOGE will greatly benefit in the future. Just my opinion

may have a slight effect due to fomo impulse but there will not be a significant increase / decrease immediately we know that doge coin is the type that is close to stable coins.
when there are rumors that the doge will be listing on binance I think that doge is the biggest fomo this year because it resulted in an increase of over 30% in 1 day.
but for the news from McAfee I don't think it will be as big as the news.

I think the same way. Dogecoin has a lot of good technology in their coins. Compared to bitcoin or ETH, Dogecoin is still better than the security of 51% attacks.

Exactly. Despite being abandoned in development and innovation, Dogecoin still has a large community behind it. There are quite a few people using and supporting it in every way. It's one of the oldest cryptocurrencies on the market with a proven track record of stability and reliability. Given that it's primarily useful for micropayments, it has obtained the love of many crypto enthusiasts (like John McAfee). The world's famous technologist has been known to support crypto in every way. This time, McAfee has chosen Dogecoin as one of the few cryptocurrencies that will go to the moon. While I disagree with him, I'd have say that there's a possibility that Dogecoin will grow massively in mainstream adoption. It'll never rise in price due to its inflationary design. If somehow developers would've tweaked the Dogecoin blockchain to make it scarcer, prices would've gained traction across the crypto market.

Nonetheless, with many famous people talking positively about Dogecoin (McAfee, Musk, Buterin) you could except this cryptocurrency to get the attention it deserves within the mainstream world. Even if it remains abandoned by its devs, it'll still be useful as a currency for daily transactions. Its fast confirmation times and low fees, allows people to use it for said purpose. Nope, it's not and I don't think a lot of people realize that doge isn't one of the 'bad' coins.  Sure, it's based on a meme and has crazy inflation built into it, but it could be very useful as a currency if merchants would just accept it as payment.  There are *so* many coins with much less potential than doge, and most of them don't have nearly the number of fanatical supporters that doge does.

Nobody cares about what John McAfee says about Dogecoin. John McAfee made so many altcoin shills in the past which end up dead and scamming his followers on social media more especially Twitter. I have to disagree. Dogecoin may have been abandoned in development, but it's still supported by many people worldwide. This is mostly because, Dogecoin is useful for trading and performing micropayments at a fraction of the cost. I don't think that it's being manipulated more than some other cryptocurrencies on the market. Whales prefer the "big" cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum due to higher liquidity on the market.

Maybe McAfee said nice things about Dogecoin, because he has invested heavily into it. With his positive comments, Dogecoin could rise in price at least in the short term. At least that happened, but the gains were not as much as we thought it would be. Given how inflationary Dogecoin's supply is, it hard to believe that it'll go to the moon sometime in the future. I won't get past $0.01 USD since there is an immense amount of DOGE in circulation. With too many coins on the market, value will simply decrease or remain relatively stable over time. If somehow McAfee's prediction comes true, then many of us DOGE "hodlers" will become extremely wealthy in the future. Just my thoughts
