I think their defense is not a "weakness" but more like a system thing. I have said many times that Bayern is too used to dominate in the league which is a problem for them in the UCL competition. It means that they are used to playing with a system that likes to dominate the other team, and when they face a team that is hard, they just end up not knowing what to do.

What do you expect from a team of defenders that end up not even defending anyone because they are dominating so hard that opponents rarely come to attack, and then suddenly face teams that will constantly attack. I think you don't even know about the situation in the team that led to his departure. Look at this season, has his performance gone down? In this case, maybe there will only be a few regular clubs that will do this and talk a lot in the Champions League and maybe this will only come down to representatives from the EPL, Bundesliga, La Liga and Ligue 1. And even then for the Bundesliga, maybe only Bayern. and Ligue 1 only PSG the rest is not there.
For Serie A indeed they are very good especially now with the rise of Juventus and the confidence of Milan and the new strength of Inter.

In my opinion, Messi made a good decision in terms of money (PSG is a bag of which it’s not a sin to milk) but a bad one in terms of image - outside of Barcelona he turned out to be an ordinary player. But he couldn't stay in Barcelona because, according to trade union rules, he could not agree to a >=50% cut in wages even if he wanted to, and Barcelona had no money to pay a normal salary.
