I find it very disturbing that we still have people who think the 2021/2022 UCL Campaign for Real Madrid was just based on luck

That's right. Actually, I also feel disturbed by the notion of lucky at Real Madrid. Why do they always say that Real Madrid is always lucky when they win games? Even since against PSG, Chelsea, Man City, even in the final against Liverpool? Is it true that Real Madrid doesn't have good skills so they only rely on luck? It does seem to be lucky at times but I believe Real Madrid really played well and deserved to win the Champions League. They have made some really good comebacks against PSG and Manchester City. And they have made it possible with a squad that is not very strong I have to say.

Even in the finals, it felt like they are just lucky to win but I believe they defended really well and tactically even though they did not have a very good defensive lineup. I agree with that, everything they have gone through this season against PSG, Chelsea and also Man City cannot be separated from their mentality which is very extraordinary.

i think we cannot blame any of the players; it is common for football players to express confidence before major finals; and i disagree with you when you say the tie was settled without much fight. it was an intense game with mane strucking the post, and salah forcing saves from Courtois on numerous occasions such that Courtois was awarded the man of the match. I am not so sure about Real Madrid having a tougher fight against Villareal. But it would have been something amazing to see Real Madrid playing against Villarreal in the Champions League final. Imagine Real Madrid losing that match.
