I have to agree with you, as it is just about probability. We don't have to be genius but we should know how to calculate about the probability of hitting the jackpot compared to how many tickets should be bought in order to make profit. Mandel was just smarter than the one who set the lottery rules as well as smarter than other people so he could calculate the probability to buy the lottery tickets. I do believe he spent a lot of money for it to win that many winnings in the lottery. I can say that he is genius or he exploited the lottery if he won it anytime he buy it with low number of tickets.

I've searched about this guy and I find his winning isn't so amazing and impressive because I found out that he bet all possible combination. I though he is really someone that cracked the code and won 14 times in lottery. He successfully gather investors resulted into 14x victory but he is now bankrupt according to what I've read. Tbh, winning one time with pure luck is more awesome to me.

well according to Daily Herald it was Stefan Mandel who was a Math genius and learnt about the algorithm of lottery in Romania and soon migrated to Australia

it's possible that a syndicate like this is working on the lottery in any country because it is well documented, the only disadvantages is when two or more people hit the jackpot and they will have to share the jackpot prize between them, he will break even or even lose if this scenario happens.

I always wonder how do the numbers from a lottery got picked every draw, now I know that this algorithms are the answer. What a genius indeed! Sometimes we have to think, we are too stupid or he is too smart. I also just realized that every game has its own mathematics and only great people can solve it. If you've heard of the story of Thorp being banned from playing blackjack because he is smart at calculating opportunities, the story is almost the same as the man in the OP video.

Why do you describe it as cheating? Cheating typically means you have broken the rules. If he had broken the terms and conditions (i.e. 'the rules') then he wouldn't have actually won the lottery, or been awarded the prizes.

I would say that whatever he did was likely well within the rules, hence why he won his money fair and square.

cracking the code or hacking in a bad way is illegal and its always against the rules  . fair sqaure means you play normally without any hacking or other mathematical equations other than chosing a ranom number based on your mind or based on your birthdate , anniversary date  , and other important dates  .

That will need more skills to crack the code or hacking, and I don't think that it is easy to do. But the most reason why he can win the lottery, he is at the right time and in the right place, and besides that, he got big luck while he plays so he can win the lottery. If he uses a random method or random number to crack, that will be more difficult to crack the code.

I personally believe that if there is a system that can forcibly increase luck, then it should be grabbed with both hands.

Yes, that will be impossible because luck is not something we can understand easily. I think he can do that again in the future because I am sure that the casino will change their algorithm so no one can crack their game again.
