Nobody knows when does altcoins will be increase. In fact, bitcoin so far was went down to 9400$ where most of the community again are worrying and some traders are not, instead they've bought a huge of bitcoin then hold. You know what, instead of asking this thing, why don't you try to buy altcoins when most of it got dumped their price, just make sure that coins you are going to buy has a potential to kick or bounce its price in the future like EOS, Eth and more. |

Now I cannot predict when prices for altcoin may rise. It does not depend on the same BTC as before. Right now whether BTC increases or decreases, altcoin is still down. The altcoin season seems to be far away for us I don't understand why everyone is blaming Bitcoin for their losses with altcoin. Let me be clear about it, if the altcoins are down, that is because people don't want to invest in these shitcoins. It has nothing to do with Bitcoin. For sure, Bitcoin is not forcibly asking the cryptocurrency users to stay away from altcoins. So my advice is to take care of all the flaws and bugs, rather than putting the blame on BTC. The motto should be MAGA (make altcoins great again!!) |

As a altcoin holder I know the pain.
There is just not enough people speculation on altcoins in last months , most of the investors go for BTC because it is the best performing asset. Also when BTC goes up and altcoin go down, it is rational to think that money from alts are flowing to btc.

Most altcoins are simply garbage, the developers are for the only purpose to get some quick buck, so it is natural that most will go one direction: down. Some did better promo, the price may stable or even up, but at one point the "investors" will dump and no return for the price. Only a few are serious, if you look at the dev team, you know what they do. |

When Btc increases, alts holders sell to Btc to get the value in Btc increase. When it decreases, they sell again their alts to Btc in order to avoid incurring loss that's the reason why alts price dumps either way against Btc price.
Altcoin traders go to buy the hidden gems which are not recognized by the whales. Pumped prices are the most critical times to enter the market, the bear market gives us an opportunity to buy the favorite coins for cheaper prices. Later same traders sell their altcoin for BTC and wait for the uptrend on the BTC charts. Holders usually get rekt if they trade with the margin on Bitmex. Maybe the BTC halving will accelerate the process of altcoin season, regardless of the market reaction prices will keep repeating the cycle. A cycle of the altcoin season is unknown, the signs of the increased altcoin index should give the correct buy signals to the long term traders or investors. |

I don't think it will be easy to know when altcoin price increases because as long as bitcoin price still up and down like today, that will be difficult for the altcoin to increase. Although some of the altcoins can grow, it doesn't mean that coin can increase higher and maybe the price will increase for 1x-2x and then back to the lower price again. But there will be a time for the altcoin to increase, especially if bitcoin can grow to the higher price so then the altcoin can follow behind of bitcoin.

It's just a transferring of value from time to time so that those traders can monitor their profits and they can still get ahead from what the market is dictating us. But holders remain to be calm most of the time and I'm one of it, I hate seeing the market to get a big plunge but that's it. |

About when altcoin will rise some of them are always following the price of bitcoin and altcoin and some even predict it is not right at all, when bitcoin rises then altcoin prices also go up unlike a play pattern, all depends on the pump to increase market prices
I agree with you. It is very difficult to predict something. Because in the market every time there is a different growth. Bitcoin rises high and it's like fishing, so people will move to Bitcoin. Then Bitcoin could hit higher and when it got high, the price suddenly dropped. Altcoin holders realize that the decline in Bitcoin will impact all coins. So coin holders also sell a lot of coins and prices drop back.
The Bitcoin pump is very good, but not followed by Altcoin. Altcoins only run slowly and with this condition, you focus more on Bitcoin.

There are lot of new Altcoins every month making the Altcoin market to become crowded. If there are lot of Altcoins to choose for investments it will make the investors to confused, become small and will be divided causing the market to become more unhealthy in which some of holders are now moving to Bitcoin. I'm afraid that Altcoin movement will continue to slow in the coming days therefore the price increase will depend to the most beautiful and the most feasible platform in the market attracting more people to invest.
