My guess is that Australia may end with 400-450, which is still not enough to enforce follow on.  

If Australia can bat till all out then the target can be more than 450 runs. Both Mitchell Marsh and Alex Carry remain unbeaten with wickets. But Australian captain Pat Commins himself can do good defensively so tomorrow if they can bat well in the first session then the runs will go above 450. Australia's score for now is 346/5 which is a good fighting score for Pakistan.
The bowlers of Pakistan team averaged fairly well but except for spinner Agha Salman all got wickets.

Performance from Australia is looking really good right now. They still have five wickets in hand and they have already got a huge score of 346. Even though most of the scoring was done by only one man. But anyway, this is definitely a very big score. I think they could easily go to 450 and after that end their innings. Even if they do not get all out, they are going to declare. Pakistan is definitely going to have a hard time winning this match. And if Pakistan can also perform as well as them in this match, we are looking towards another drawn test match.

Quite surprised to see Khurram Shahzad opening the bowling for Pakistan. Apart from Shaheen Shah Afridi, they have selected a very inexperienced bowling squad for this test. Shahzad is playing in his first ever test match (also the first match for Pakistan national team). Recently he performed really well in Pakistan domestic cricket, while playing for Faisalabad. Aamer Jamal is also playing his first test match, and he represents Lahore Whites in domestic cricket. BTW, pitch at Perth Stadium seems to be batsmen friendly and Australia may end up with 400-500 on board by day 2. 

Naseem Shah is unfit while Haris Ruaf preferred playing BBL then to play this test series against Australia. In absence of these 2 main pacers, Pakistan left only with these options. So far Aussie batting has destroyed Pakistan bowling and main reason is David Warner who is not out on 150. Aussies have made 289 runs so far and by stumps they will make 350/375. I don't think Pakistan batting has so much depth that they can chase down 400 or 500 against Aussie bowling lineup.

Haris Rauf understands his body condition and if he focuses on his financial security by prioritizing T-20, then there is nothing wrong with it.

He has virtually no FC experience, The last time he played a test match on his debut series he gave up after a couple of spells and had to leave the ground so he clearly can't ball more than 10 overs in a test match. Pakistani fans should understand this and management should leave the poor guy alone, On top of that FFS they must stop shaming him and they need to come up with a better solution. Pakistan is lucky that he's not in the team otherwise they could have been 1 bowler short for the next 4 days.

1st test Australia won toss and batting first and they made 355/5 in 80 overs of Day 1 usman khawaja made 41 runs and trevis head 40 runs while brilliant batting by David Warner 164 runs inning played David warner always excellent performance against pakistan and this is last series of Wwarner. on pak side ammir jamal takes 2 wickets while shaheen shah, khurram shahzad and faheem ashraf took single wickets. I was excited about this test series which is between Australia vs Pakistan where 1st day is over already.  Excitement was specially for David Warner as i found an article where he declared his retirement from Test and this series is going to be his last test serial (correct me if I'm wrong) and he impressed everyone with his excellent century & fifty, scored 164(211) run total. Although Australia team played so well from their beginning and the viral role of David Warner helped Australia to archive 346/5 score in day 1.  Rest of batsman played average although still there are a lot to see. Aamer Jamal is newcomer in Pakistan who got 2 wickets meanwhile. And Shaheen Afridi did his best bowling till now.

Looks like the first test will go to the Australians as expected and it seems completely one-sided at this point. Warner was brilliant while they still have Carey, Marsh, Cummins and Starc remaining.

None of the Pakistan bowlers bowled really well. They continue to miss high quality spinners like Lyon in their side.

Yes ,you are right. In my opinion, Pakistan will lose this match because David Warner is very dangerous player and he is top class batsman and no batsman can play like David Warner at these pitches. After 1 day of test match Australia made 345 runs with fall of 5 wickets. Now, Mitchell Marsh and Alex Carey are on crease and they are good players and they will take the score to 450+ and Pakistan is not that kind of team that can chase that kind of big score. In my opinion, Pakistan will lose this match by heavy margin. And if Pakistan draws that match , that is bravery from Pakistan in this situation.

Today was the first day of the first test match of Pakistan vs Australia and in this match Australian team played very well, their focus was on just one thing which was just make runs because their bowlers charged Babar Azam so they knew that Babar Azam make more and more runs so that's why they made runs unstoppable, and Australian charged Babar Azam, actually,  before the one day of match all Australian and also the captain Pat Cummins has said that we will try to out Babar Azam because if he start so we can't stop it.

We will see if Babar Azam will keep up with the expectations of their own team and also meet the expectations of Pat Cummins.

I don't think Pakistan team will win against Australia. But my  guess was that the series would be competitive. Although Pakistan's bowling attack is not weak, the bowlers are not in good form. And  as usual in today's test match  we didn't see good performance from Pakistani bowlers. Australia collected  126 runs in the first wicket pair. However  after the lunch break, the performance of the Pakistani bowlers was slightly better. Looks like  Australia will collect around 480-500. The match is likely to be a draw if Pakistan's batsmen can bat well.

David Warner completed his 150 in this match. He played very well, and he also hit 4 sixes and 16 fours, he played like a T10. By the way, the other team isn't able to make at least 50 runs but if you have David Warner so what is the meaning of problem? Usman Khawaja was too near to the half-century, he almost played 100 and completed 50 runs but sadly he lost his wicket when he made 41 runs, he missed his half-century by 40 runs, he should have completed his half-century he almost used 100 balls.

David Warner made a century, and he played extremely well, he was too near to making 200 runs, by the way, I have not confirmed that maybe this is the last test series of David Warner and if is it so I know that he will be in form in this series.

This Australian team is very experienced. They have performed well in the World Cup. If this Australian squad had played in the T20 series against India, then Australia would not have lost so badly against India. Australia and Pakistan will play three Test matches in this series. Australia has more chances to win all three matches. Either Australia will win or the match will be a draw. But I expect Australia to win the first match. Australian batsmen did very well in the first innings. Especially Warner's innings of 164 runs was much needed. Australia will collect at least 450 runs in the first innings.
