In the Aus-Eng match, the Australians are all set to score something in excess of 300 which is a great score. Several players got starts, but failed to convert. Also, Anderson needs to take some wickets and not just bowl maidens.

In the Pak-Lanka match, it's almost over even though Pak is 3 down since the target is way too small. De Silva single-handedly carried the team in this match.

I won't blame number 10 that much but he did a tremendous job by occupying one end, due to this he and Sakeel added 90-ish runs. His score was in single digits but it's alright as his partner was regularly ticking the scoreboard.

Yes you are right but if he score 20-25 runs , it would better then just playing every ball dot. Naseem could play and he has shown in previous games. Still i appreciate him for giving Shakeel to score which give Pakistan team bonus lead.

Spinners will play the crucial role but the ball is still 4 overs old so Afridi and Naseem must do the damage early as both of them are attacking bowlers.

As it was expected, Naseem and Shaheen Afridi not picked up wickets and Agha salman, Noman and abrar did tremendous job at first and then De silve which was looking dangerous bowled out by Shaheen afridi.

Pakistan need 131 runs to register victory in this test match. Sri Lanka will need to deliver an exceptional bowling performance to stay in the game, but based on Pakistan's impressive batting display in the first innings, it won't happen. It doesn't hurt to score but at the same time, his job was to stick with his partner and accumulate runs, which they did so no complaints.

Labuschagne making a habit of losing his wicket after good starts. He's a champion batter so you don't expect these sorts of things from him. Warner did the same but in the long term, it doesn't matter. If I am not wrong then it's his last series (I guess, He's taking retirement from red ball cricket).

If it was in the other bowler, I am quite sure that he would have felt really bad about getting hit for six sixes in one single over. But Stuart Broad stayed strong. He is still performing as one of the main bowlers of England in test format.

I don’t know what to make out of the score that Australia put on. The current score of Australia is 299. They have lost eight wickets. From this situation, if they can reach 350, it is going to be a really good job done by them. Chris Woakes has been the best bowler for England. I wonder if he can pick up five this evening.

Having said that all batters got an okay start but failed to convert their respective innings into big ones and it's not a good habit, i am sure they must be thinking about the same. 

England would be okay too, as they didn't let things slip away and keep chipping in from time to time. Although Jimmy not picking any wickets should concern them, hope he gets some in the second inning.

Agreed. I don't understand why Anderson was added back into the squad since he was struggling in the previous matches and it was visible in this one too. Bad decision if you ask me.

Also, Starc is playing a gem of an innings. The Australian tail-enders have impressed me quite often in recent times.

Now it is certain that Australia will get to a total of above 300, which is really good considering the seam-friendly conditions. One positive signal was the half-century made by Marnus Labuschagne. He has been out of form for quite long time, and it was good to see him getting a 50. Australia doesn't have any full-time spinners in their playing XI, and they have three full-time pacers (Starc, Cummins & Hazlewood) as well as two part-timers (Cameron Green and Mitchell Marsh). Things will be really interesting when England comes out to bat today.

If Pakistan's most reliable batsman Suad Shakeel 208* had not given Pakistan a lead of 149 runs in the first innings, then it can be safely said that Pakistan would have definitely lost in their second innings. Because Pakistan already lost their valuable three wickets but if the run target was not 83 then Pakistan would have been under pressure and they would not have scored 279 runs in the second innings like Sri Lanka. But the positive point for Pakistan is that no matter how much the batting disaster happens, they will achieve the small target of 83 runs very easily and it can be assumed that Pakistan will win the test for sure.
