Babar Azam did not play his best innings as captain. Sarfaraz completely failed in 1st match I think Mohammad Rizwan should be included in the team. In the fourth match against England, Australia's middle-order batsmen averaged 40-50 runs each. However, no batsman could play big innings. At the end of the first day, Australia collected 299 runs after losing 8 wickets. Labuschagne and Mitchell Marsh scored the highest 51 runs for Australia. My guess is that Australia will lose the remaining two wickets in the first 10 overs tomorrow. And will probably be able to collect as much as 320.

Australia vs England match is very difficult to predict. England's bowlers bowled well enough. But we still don't know how England's batsmen will play. No wonder England faced a batting disaster. But I think England will win this match. and would tie the series at 2-2.

Ideally, the 50 extra runs mark would have been better, all the blame goes to the batters. The top 5 failed to put up a good show and it's true for both teams. 

Not a convincing win but it's still a good start to Pakistan's WTC cycle. They have a balanced schedule in this cycle and if use their head then there might be some chance this time also, as far as the WTC final is concerned.

Imam-ul-Haq consistently delivers outstanding performances on challenging pitches. His brilliant innings today played a crucial role in Pakistan's victory. Pakistan team has a habit of making matches thrilling, but it's not an easy when batting on such slow and tricky wickets. Congratulations to Pakistan for starting the World Test Championship cycle with 12 points. Saud Shakeel and the rest of Pakistan's batters also displayed great batting skills. Yes, if Sri Lankan batters managed few more runs then match could be more interesting.

I thought England would start their innings brilliantly but at the beginning of the innings, England lost Duckett's wicket to Mitchell Starc and faced a disaster. With Moeen Ali and Zak Crawley on the wicket now, Australia can wreak havoc on England's batting line-up if they can use the fast bowlers properly.
Australia will want their fast bowlers to bounce back in style as England pacer Chris Woakes fell five wickets for Australia in the first English Test which is an important guide for Australia. If want to maintain that trend and they can use regular pacer bowler.

Imam ul haq 50 runs in second innings was as important as Saud double hundred in first innings. With this win Pakistan also register there first win for ICC Test championship. There is still one more test to be played and the way first test ended its difficult to say who will win next test.

Australia scored 317 in the first innings which is not considered a strong score.  Meanwhile, England scored 61 runs for 1 wicket.  So if England play a little bit better, they will compete hard with Australia. Australia should have at least scored 400+ in the first innings to gain confidence but they didn't manage to do that so I don't get confidence for them to do well in the fourth match.  England's game is also looking very good so this match is going to be very tight. But a possible prediction can be made about the fourth match when England's first innings too ends

Volatility has been a concern with the Pakistan team for quite some time. They have an exceptional pace bowling attack, with players such as Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah. And they also have world class batsmen such as Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman. But despite all this talent overflow, they can't perform consistently. I don't know how this can be changed. What can be done to bring some consistency to their performance? Replacing Misbah-ul-Haq (as the coach) with someone from Australia or England can help, IMO.

Things are looking dicey for Aussies. Bowlers are leaking runs, no spinners in the playing XI so probably they are running behind the over rate (They might lose some points). Head did try a couple of overs but Poms took him to the cleaners, they must be missing Nathon Lyon.

Even with the unexpected batting collapse, England should cross the 300 mark easily. If not then Poms are staring at minimum 100-150 runs lead.

I hate to say this, but it looks as if Nathan Lyon's absence is hurting them a lot. Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood have both conceded runs at almost 6 per over. Australian lead is down to 78 runs, and there are 39 overs remaining for today. And remember that they have Harry Brook, Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow yet to come. England is having a clear advantage here and we can safely say that they will be able to draw the series 2-2.

So Pakistan able to win the match very easily. To win against Pakistan team, Sri Lanka must have a consistent performance. Hopefully, Sri Lanka will be able to correct their mistakes in the next match.
