The England national cricket team is coming to India to play a Test series against India. Indian national team has always been strong on Indian soil. England national cricket team is coming to India for a long Test series with India which will be extended from 25th January to 7th March.
The Test series between England and India will consist of five Test matches. A look at England's Test squad shows that many players in their team are new and inexperienced. England team is relatively weaker than India in this test series.

The test series itself confuses me as rather than playing bilateral T20 series they are playing test series.  The World Cup is scheduled in June and playing a T20 series would have given good practice for both teams. The Indian players would be playing IPL after the series ends but not every English player will be part of the IPL. Indian teams have been always good whenever they play at home for any format of the game. India is already the number 2 team in the test ranking and they will be playing against the third rank team in the test.

One of the most entertaining series now facing too many personal issues as few days back we have withdrawn of Harry Brook from this series and now second-biggest causality with Virat Kohli is also withdrawn from the first two test matches due to personal reasons.

Even I have feeling India is having good backups but still against big team absence of Kohli going to have problems for them because he is one of the best and leading Indian batsman who can turn the tables by his own in any situation, but now we have good responsibility on Gill, Iyar and KL Rahul how they will handle this all in first two test matches of this coming series.

Virat Kohli is one of the best and most experienced batsman of the Indian team. Many feel that Virat Kohli is the backbone of the Indian batting line-up. India will be much weaker than England as Virat Kohli is absent for the first two Tests of the Test series between India and England. But I hope India will overcome that and do well in the first two Test matches against England as they have a lot of young talented players in their squad.

Shubman Gill is an amazing batsman and he is in great form right now. But since this series will be held on Indian soil, India will have an advantage which could be the main reason for them to win this Test series.

Yeah, we should be fine but nowadays Kohli looks in fine touch and getting his mojo back so big boots to fill for any batter. I reckon they will go with the Bumrah-Siraj + 3 spin all rounder (Jaddu, Axar, Ash). Shami is not available atm because of injury.

Current performance and conditions are completely favouring India for another win with most chances India will have spinners friendly pitches which will create problems for the England and now after having Brook out of the test series things are more difficult for them because he is match winner for them in all conditions with having very good record in subcontinent, but now their chances are down, and we have to check how they and their Buzz-Ball will work.

India already plays 2 test matches in South Africa, but England is having first series after the ODI world cup, so this is also going to have impact on their performance, hopefully we will have some quality and entertaining cricket from these both teams in this series.

In my opinion, England is good side because England can face every difficult situation with calm. They are pressure handlers and they are are brave . England International test cricket team has brave bowlers and batsmans that are mentally very strong.In comparison, Indian International test cricket team is not mentally strong. Always,they lose big match. They lose World cup final in India. They have to commit that they are human and they can do mistakes but they should improve their batting and bowling. They are proudy people and they don't play in foreign leagues and they play mostly in India and they win in Indian but they lose in foreign countries. England can win first match of test series.

How do you understand and prove that if a team loses a final match, they are weaker than the other team?I think this is your misconception. Those who understand the game of cricket in this world, especially the people of all the countries of our Asian continent, may be aware of how strong India is in cricket.There are many big and powerful cricket teams in the world who fear to play any cricket match with India. India has some batsmen who are number one in the world and one of them is Sachin Tendulkar who is still number one among all the batsmen in the world. Although Sachin Tendulkar is a long time batsman but currently there are batsmen like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the Indian cricket team who are consistently playing well and scoring centuries in almost most of the matches.

LOL.. agreed. The longer the format of the game, the more biased it becomes towards the stronger teams. India is the strongest cricket team at this point, and that dominance is very evident in test format. Australia can offer some competition to India, but there is a wide gap between these two teams in test format. Limited overs format involves a bit of luck as well. So even if India is the strongest team, it is not necessary that they win all the time. But giving performance in ODI as an excuse to mock the Indian test team is pure BS.

Test format and ODI format are completely different and even the type of game is different. In Test format, the more time and patience the team bats at the crease, the more runs the team and its players can score. India are as strong as ever in the Test format. One thing we should all keep in mind is that India has played in the final of the Test Championship two years in a row. This proves how strong India is in Test format.
