South Africa give poor performance in First test match they all out 162 runs in first inning of match and in second inning they scored 241 runa and lost this match by huge margin. New Zealand lead the series by 1-0 after winning the first match against South Africa. I think South Africa will bounce back in second test match that start from 13 February and they will try to win this match and level the series.

You are right ,south Africa team play not well, South Africa did not meet the run target of New Zealand first innings in both their innings.
If we check the record of these two teams, New Zealand is much ahead of the South African team due to its more experience and more match winning.

New Zealand scored 690 runs in their two innings and South Africa scored only 411 runs in their two innings.The run difference is huge but I hope South Africa will improve their batting performance skills now.

We have seen very bad batting of the South African team in the first match itself. While New Zealand managed to score 511 runs in their first innings, South Africa scored only 162 runs on the same pitch. A target of 529 runs, the South African team lost by a huge margin of 281 runs.

After such poor batting in the first match, I don't think South Africa will play well in the second match. South Africa is likely to lose in the second match as well. Because New Zealand players are in very good form now. And they will be more confident in the second match as well. I consider the New Zealand team as the favorite in the second test match.

Ranji recently gave a raise to the domestic circuit. For Ranji, Paygrade is between 40k INR - 60 K INR per day (4 day match). Paygrade depends on the experience and those fellas sitting out get half the amount, again on the experience they have.

In comparison to IPL, it's not much but overall pay is quite decent and they can make 10-20 Lakh INR from just Ranji, apart from that there are other tournaments as well like Vijay Hajare trophy (ODI) and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (T-20)

This is nothing for player that is part of National team and has high bids in IPL. Anyone who is not part of National team can play that to get attention of selectors. One more thing BCCI must do is to allow its domestic players to take part in T20 Leagues around the world. This will give opportunity to domestic players to earn good money and get exposure. BCCI must recognise that not every domestic player can make it to IPL.

Do you think, anyone who is regular in the Indian team and gets a million or half a million dollars in the IPL, wants to play in a foreign league for money?

The 100 pays less than $150k for the top slot. BBL pay is around $200-300k at best for top T-20 players. Are these franchises willing to hire 2nd or 3rd tier Indian players (including those retired) from domestic cricket for 100k per season? I highly doubt that. I know big or any decent Indian player won't touch any foreign league for sure.

After the defeat in the first test, South Africa should prepare themselves well for the second test. Defeated the first Test by a huge margin of 281 runs and New Zealand declared their second innings but South Africa were bowled out in both their innings. However, New Zealand's Kane Williamson (118,109) and Rachin Ravindra (240,12) played extraordinary innings because of which New Zealand's run collection was over 500 runs in the first innings. However, looking at South Africa's poor performance, it seems likely that South Africa will lose in the second match as well as in the first Test.

Brand and R. van Tonder to bat first ,N Brand made 25 run and lose their wicket and R. van Tonder also same made 35 run lose has wicket and C Fortuin will get out for zero runs.And now D Bedingham and z Hamza has  come to the partnership, now he both  has to perform well in batting to stand  for a big score.

New update on the squad:  KL Rahul is ruled out for the 3rd test. Paddikal is his replacement.

Ok Paddikal is replacement but in playing XI, it's Sarfraz Khan to replace Rahul's batting position, also I heard people shortforming (if it's even word) Devdutt Paddikal to DDP which I find pretty dope, I know it's obvious now, but didn't cross my mind before. Plus, Dhruv Jurel is to replace KS Bharat for wicket keeping position.

Padikkal has been in terrific form so far in the Ranji Trophy. And it will be a big disappointment for him, in case he is overlooked in favor of Sarfraz Khan. BTW, I agree with the choice of Dhruv Jurel. BTW, more interesting is the question of Kuldeep Yadav. Will he get the nod ahead of Axar Patel? Ravichandran Ashwin seems to be confirmed anyway. And I would advice the Indians to go with just one pacer. But they seems to be adamant about Akash Deep making his debut in the third test.

Disappointing start by South Africa, they have already lost 6 wickets on the first day. Not many runs on the scoreboard, just 220 runs. Ironically South Africa won the toss and took batting, looks like a bad decision to me. Rachin Ravindra had a good first test will the bat and now is having a good time with the ball, took 3 wickets on day 1.

Padikkal has been in terrific form so far in the Ranji Trophy. And it will be a big disappointment for him, in case he is overlooked in favor of Sarfraz Khan. Sarfraz also deserves his chance. Regarding Axar, the only way I seem him getting dropped is India decides to replace him with Sundar. Regarding Kuldeep Yadav, he can have his place even without all-rounder getting dropped, look at this playing XI:

Personally, it looks perfect playing XI to me, I'd drop Akash deep and add Sundar as replacement but India is likely gonna go with two pacers so let it be. Though, I'm quite curious to see how well Akash Deep performs.

Also, we gonna see Ashwin complete his 500 wickets milestone in next game.

Maybe thus with this strategy, they could perform well against New Zealand! Although we already saw New Zealand performance in 1st test, how aggressive they were with playing. South Africa lost 1 wicket at 4 runs only. And rest of players tried to make more runs but out. 5 wickets gone within 101 runs and that indicates that South Africa are in troubl. Although 7th player Ruan de Swardt did half century and Shaun von Berg, both are doing impressive batting. Rachin Ravindra hunted 3 wickets already. I just love his man how a person can good with bowling and batting at time same time

They were 150/6 when David Bedingham got out. But then South Africa made a remarkable recovery, with Ruan de Swardt and Shaun von Berg fighting it out in the middle. Neil Wagner was controversially included in the playing XI ahead of Kyle Jamieson. He played his last test match almost an year ago, but did a decent job this time by taking the wicket of Raynard van Tonder. Part-timer Rachin Ravindra has so far picked up half of the wickets to fall so far. He has a strong start to his career, and scored 240 in the last test.

Today is the second match of the test between South Africa and New Zealand and in this match, I think the South African team will feel the same as they felt in the last match with New Zealand when Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson hit a century.

But in this type, we will see South Africans batting first and today New Zealand bowling was very well. South African team boys also made good runs but the New Zealand team bowlers picked the wicket of South African batsmen and at the end of the day, we saw that now tomorrow South African bowlers will bat again that team where New Zealand's batsmen can't be played.

220 for 6 wickets down at the end of the first day, i guess the New Zealand team would be more happy with today's day play as compared to the South African team. Rachin Ravindra took three wickets from New Zealand and he really put the dent in this South Africans innings. How many more runs can South Africa make in this innings, it will be important for both teams.

South Africa's batsmen are batting better in today's match compared to the first match. The South African team was defeated because of the bad batting in the first match. But if Swardt and Von Berg could not bat responsibly in the seventh wicket partnership, South Africa would have been in trouble. Because South Africa lost 6 batsmen of their top order in just 150 runs. Swardt remained unbeaten with 55 runs and van Berg 34 runs. If you can collect 300+ it will be a good target to fight. But it cannot be said for sure whether South Africa will be able to collect up to 300 runs.

In general, the 70 runs partnership can't be addressed as remarkable recovery in the 7th wicket partnership. This kind of partnership is common in the late wicket partnership of test cricket when the top order fails. But it is indeed a remarkable recovery for the weak squad of South Africa. Still, I think they will be all out within 300 runs on day two.

I think after a long long time finally new Zealand get such complete young quality all rounder In shape of rachin ravindra. He is still young and to be honest his coach tactics really work by giving opportunity to him especially at recent world Cup at top order position and that thing really give them extra confidence to believe in your self and perform at every difficult situation without any fear and now results is Here, anyway south African team performance were quite off colour and the reason may be due to presence of many unexperienced and new names, now they had just scored 220 and lose most of thier most important six wickets, no doubt now thier lowe middle order made decent partnership but I don't think it will stay long and will make difference

South Africa batting once fail to produce big score. Ruan de Swardt 64 runs inning did some rescue work for South Africa. New Zealand bowlers did a good job by bowling out South Africa for just 242 runs. William O’Rourke is playing his first test and got 4 wickets on debut and Rachin Ravindra got 3 wickets.
No problem so far for NewZealand in first innings. New Zealand have lost 4 wickets and they trail by 97 runs. New Zealand might be able to score 300 runs in first innings.

New Zealand vs South Africa, 2nd Test match is started and 1st Innings is still ongoing on. South Africa won the toss and already done their batting by collecting total 242-10 in estimate 92 overs. Top batsman seems not played well but their mid order batsman and all rounder players had done brilliant performance. Shaun von Berg did 38, David Bedingham scored 39 and Ruan de Swardt scored 64, who alone done his half century. Besides Rachin Ravindra hunted 3 wickets and William ORourke got 4. New Zealand batting is started. And their performance was good enough. But after 145-4 point, rest of players start losing wickets with a few runs. And now New Zealand team is troubling with 172-8 where New Zealand still trail by 70 runs
