India's opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal was very good with the bat, scoring 76 runs off 70 balls. In fact, he started batting thinking that it was an ODI match instead of a Test, comparatively England team started well but were under heavy wicket pressure later on. But the Indian team has been performing well throughout this season, only 127 runs are needed to meet the target in today's match, then whatever the Indian team collects from the next, the pressure will be on the England team. The batsmen of England team are not patient because they were all out in the first innings on the first day, they could not play patiently.

It just shows the lack of sting in England bowling attack. Their pacers have been defanged by the dead subcontinental pitches and then they don't have any quality spinners to trouble the Indian batsmen. Jack Leach and Rehan Ahmed would not even qualify to be included in the playing XIs of domestic teams, if they were born in India. All that said, I want Yashasvi Jaiswal to perform with such consistency when he is playing abroad under SENA conditions. We have a lot of players who behave like tigers at home, and then suddenly get transformed to Pomeranian puppies while playing abroad.

Looking at the way Jaiswal is playing he would reach his century today. Gill has been slow but given time he can become a danger to the English side. India still trails by 127 runs and if these two stay on the wicket before the end of the first session then this trail would become a lead. Plenty of batting left, and a big score in the making on day 2. Yesterday they got a good start but by the end of day 1 they lost the captain because of a poor shot selection.

Yes you are right West Indies are performing quite well in the second test compared to the first test.First innings West Indies batting lineup stumbled a lot early. After five wickets fell, I thought it wouldn't take long for Australia to all out the West Indies. But Kavem Hodge and Joshua Da Silva's 149-run sixth-wicket partnership helped the West Indies turn around. I don't think West Indies can cross 300 runs with late last batsman.

I was not hoping such kind of performance by West Indies they played quite well. Surprising thing is that West Indies lost their 5 wickets at 64 runs. But after that Joshua Da Silva and Kavem Hodge showed their power and they both pull the score above 200 and I was thinking how they were losing the wickets they hardly make 150 runs. But these two players hold the wicket tight and now West Indies has made 266 runs with the lost 8 wickets. And on the second means today they can go to 300. If they will go above 300 so there will be the chances of winning of West Indies.

Root bowls his first over and takes the crucial wicket of Jaiswal. I was expecting him to get his century but he lost his wickets because of a stupid shot. Gill is still trying to find his form, he is not looking as confident as he used to be earlier. KL Rahul is looking more confident than Gill, being a new batter on the pitch he is able to get singles more often than Gill.

This kind of comparison exists all the time, recently in SA series the pitch is in favorable for the pace attack but the Indian team went with the right set of skilled players to counter-attack when they throw at but clearly other teams lacks that amount of quality players ion their team to have a good fight back when the tour India.

Jaiswal threw his away in the very first over of the day and KL seems to be playing with aggressive mode and don't let the momentum to go away.

India team is fit enough for test match they are all performing well one batsman after another. Especially the opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal has done well for the team, he got out with 80 runs off 76 balls alone. Currently standing at the crease are Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, these two batsmen have collected enough runs for the Indian team and have given a lot of support as the current pair. But compared to the England team, they are not able to perform enough bowling as the Indian team has lost three wickets so far. England can easily meet the target of 246 runs given by the team. India team has scored 212 runs for the loss of 3 wickets, and can only score 34 runs, this message is sent by India team but they can score more runs later today which will put pressure on England team.

Ben Stokes does not have many options, Hartley is the only bowler who has been far more economical after bowling 20 overs. He is trying his level best to stop the run's flow by trying to put on pressure from one end. I feel a lead of 250 runs as lead is more than enough for India to win this test match. Our three spinners are all we need to get more than half the wickets of the English side. The ball is moving which shows the pitch is now suited for a good spin attack.

At the end of India's first session, they scored 102 runs in 27 overs with the loss of two wickets. India don't need more runs. Their trial is only 24 runs. It looks like it will be out in four to five overs of the second session and India will give a good level lead because now Rahul and Iyer are batting.  A is here and India is at a good stage with only three wickets lost. I hope that India will give England a lead of 250 runs very well.  It will be very difficult for England to win this Test because it is actually impossible in the current situation it is very easy for India to win because India is better now.  This Test in India is very important because it is a very beneficial match for the championship and it will be very beneficial for both the teams.  Hope India win the match now let's see what happens.

He was backing his bowler completely and in doing so overbowled him, which kind of backfired royally. Tbh apart from Joe Root no one else looked threatening. They also underbowled Leach, at least he was not offering any freebies.

From England's POV, they have to take out Iyer at all costs, if he digs in then he'll destroy this spin attack.  

Surprisingly Windies are dominating Aussies and that too at Gabba lol

What's happened to Australia team today they lose their four wicket before the 10 over and the wrong is only 27. It is very unspected performance for me from Australian team specially from their top order batsman. No one can able to their personal score about 8 run and Travis Head make a golden duck. I think in the second test Australia will defeat by West Indies team because they have only 6 wicket and they were trail by 278 run.

I feel Gill is having hard time adjusting to different formats, he played exceptionally well in last IPL, but since then he's been lackluster, had couple good knocks in between iirc but nothing much or is it Dengue that weakened him?

West Indies vs Australia match is far more entertaining than the India vs England match currently thanks to Roach and Joseph making a mockery of the Australian batting line-up unexpectedly.

India will probably end up giving a lead of around 200+ runs while Windies might actually win this test and screw my bet on Australia.

Kl Rahul and Shreyas Iyer now form a great pair. Kl Rahul has already completed his half-century and is a little away from his fifty. But sorry for Jaswal as he got out just 20 runs away from his century maybe with a little more attention or patience he could have completed his century.

The Indian team has collected 244 runs for four wickets at the moment. KL Rahul is slowly inching towards his century. India is still only two runs behind England. If India can give England a target of 300 runs, I think India will win this Test match very easily.

Another partnership broken the English bowlers and it is not looking good for India. I expected more from Iyer than just 35 runs and getting caught out. The lead as of now is of 10 runs and KL Rahul is doing well with the bat, he is on 81 runs and needs another 19 runs to get his 100 of 2024. Ravindra Jadeja has not been in his best as a batter whereas he has been bowling good. A partnership is the requirement at this time and that to till the end of day 2. It is imperative that KL Rahul gets all the support that he can from the non striker end.

In the first test match between Australia and West Indies, the way the West Indies team was a batting failure, the West Indies team turned around beautifully in the second test after overcoming the batting failure. West Indies give Australia a lead of 311 runs. Australia's batsmen are under a lot of pressure after losing 4 wickets before collecting 30 runs. The way Australia is performing in the second Test is really disappointing because no one could have imagined that the Australian batsmen would perform so badly. Australia's performance looks like they may be going to lose against the West Indies in the second Test. Australia's current score is 66 for 5 with 14 overs to play. The West Indies team is working hard to win the second test match and the batsmen have batted well and bowled well. It is expected that West Indies may win against Australia in the second Test match.

Backing up debutant is indeed but overbowling him is terrible mistake because the player himself need breaks to assess the condition and what/where to bowl from looking at the other bowlers, but he kept bowling from one end consistently while Leach isn't given much chance even though he is economical.

Shreyas departed while taking on and try to clear against fielder, now Jaddu came and we can see some exciting shots already.

74/5 that is very unlike Aussies at their home but it's good to see Windies performing against a quality team, hopefully their team will get some inspiration and be the side who they were in the past decades.

Anothe Indian batter missing out on his century, the first one being Jaiswal and the second being KL Rahul. Jadeja looking agressive like Rahul and Jaiswal, he with Bharat have bat as long as they can. Bharat did not bat well in his last test match. This time he got another opportunity and should use it. At the moment the lead is of 46 runs and looking at the current situation the lead should be of 150 runs.
