I didn't see it as I expected. In this match, I thought that the Indian team would be able to bat better than the previous match, but they are underperformed in this match. They have already lost seven wickets to the South African bowlers and their current score is only 194. I think that from this situation, the Indian team can score at most 250 or 300 runs. But it will not be possible to go up to 400 runs with the remaining three wickets. So in the first innings, the Indian team is behind the South African team.

Even if India could have scored 350, the match would have been competitive. But India could  only manage 201 runs. South Africa has taken a huge lead of  288 runs. At the end of the third day, South Africa is leading by a huge margin of 314 runs.

Yeah. I had really high hopes for Sai, but it looks like he is best suited for the ODI and T20 formats while I have no clue why they keep giving opportunities to Jurel who never impressed me in any format so far.

Jansen is the one that impressed me a lot through this series. I thought he was below average initially, but he proved me and many other doubters wrong. Dude is using his height very nicely.

Except for Jaiswal's 58 runs and Washington Sundar's 48 runs, no other batsman could do well. Marco Jansen was able to take 6 wickets and Harmer took 3 wickets.

You are right that India will try to draw the match. But even drawing this match will be very difficult for the Indian batsmen. India is likely to lose the match. If India can somehow draw the match, then undoubtedly they are very lucky.

South Africa will try to give India a target of 500 runs and if India have to bat for 4 sessions then it won't be easy for them to draw the match. It's also not an easy thing to give India tough time on it's own pitch and by doing that South Africa prove that they are one of best test side. India has strong batting lineup but South African bowling today is more strong compared to Indian batting and that's why Indian team got out for just 201 runs. The series is heading towards a 2-0 loss for India.

Where Marco Janson 93 and Senuran Muthusamy 109 created the moment of tension by hitting outstanding scores. However after moving from 95 scores to 122 for 7 wickets, Unbelievable dramatically change the whole match scene. Hardly manage to give total of 201 scores. Yeh Indian performance is completely awful like first they leak huge runs against thier tail ender and then givenaway thier wickets quite easily, although they have home advantage but still they failed to utilize things may be due to lack of top order things wasn't going according to thier plan as Rohit , virat has already taken out of the squad while gill got injured so may that's the real concern. Anyway they way thier batting order collapse I taught may be follow on applied on them, but later somehow they done decent. but still African are far away better from them and I don't think Indian will won that important match to tie series.

I would say this is a perfect Test innings. Test matches test the patience of the players. Staying at the crease is more important than scoring runs. This is not an ODI match where you have to bat at a decent strike rate. Campher could not score any runs in the first innings. ~

No, the perfect innings depend on the situation of the match. I won't say that it was a perfect innings. There was no chance for him to change the possible result of the match by playing for a long time. The pitch condition wasn't too much difficult for batting. So, he could have played a little faster to score a century.

Bencho! Sara gussa gauti par nikalna chahiye, someone needs to cut him and agarkar to their size and enough of their shenanigans. Sala aachi khasi team ka majak bana kar rakh diya hai.

Also, someone should think about fixed venue system, you can't have 50 different venue for every test match at home, fans ke liye home conditions hoti hai bas but players ke liye nahi.

We can't have fixed venue , too many states ..only way i see it happening it as BCCI decides to give all white ball matches to these smaller venues but still we will have atleast 10 test venues(Mumbai,Kolkata,Delhi,Bengaluru,Ahmedabad,Mohali,Dharamshala,Hyderabad,Chennai,Pune/Indore) & white ball cricket actually makes money can't see these bigger state agreeing to this also.

LOL.. playing cricket in Delhi or Mohali right now is a literal death sentence. My friends are saying that they can't go out even to purchase groceries and if they do so their eyes start burning and kids get breathing difficulties. And imagine playing cricket under such circumstances.

BTW, I believe that Bavuma did the right thing. If the lead was 300 plus, then he might have enforced the follow on. The psychological advantage was lost once Bumrah and Siraj added valuable runs for the last wicket partnership, and then Bavuma did the right thing by not asking India to bat again. Also, the bowlers looked tired under Indian conditions. Marco Jansen bowled 20 overs in one day (after he scored 93 with the bat), and he had no full-time pacer at the other end to support him. Wiaan Mulder was OK for short spells of 2-3 overs, but he is not a full-time bowler.

i'm yet to understand what was the point of that press conference , what is he even trying there ..any one with common sense know this type outburst backfire & put more scrutiny on yourself , not to mention that was batting coach ..mere bhai India ki batting he kharab hai itna gyan pel raha hai press conference mai thoda batsman ko bhe de dai  

yes , 8-10 venues is doable with venues in north not available in winter but point remain same why would states agreed to it , this is more prestige issue than money one.also , there are some new venues coming in next 2 yr , a 80k staduim in Bihar , another 80k in jaipur , one in varansi & one in Andhra.

They have a lead of 344 as of now. I am not witnessing any sense of urgency from the two openers (Aiden Markram and Ryan Rickelton). The current run rate is around 3 runs per over. This means that there is a good chance of South Africa batting in the second session as well. They may ask India to bat after the second session, which will mean that the Protean bowlers have 120-125 overs to bowl out the Indians. They did that in the first innings within 84 overs. And given the fact that they have plenty of spin options (Keshav Maharaj, Senuran Muthusamy, Simon Harmer and Aiden Markram), this should be doable.

It looks like SA is unstoppable and India ran out of options already and they are just waiting for things to happen now.

I doubt SA will try to increase their RR now, because there is still 3 whole days left along with a session so there is enough time left in this match to get a result that isn't a draw. Pitch is still good for batting that is the only positive for now.

Edit: Muthuswamy gone, DSP forced him to play a shot with well directed short ball and get caught at the fine leg.

India team made only 201 runs in their first innings and due to this they are down in this test match. It they played a little better the South African team wouldn't have got that big lead in the first innings and now whatever runs they make in the 2nd innings, it will take them a step closer to winning this test match.

Yeah, in test series between South  Africa and India ,  South  Africa leadsby 314 runs at the end of day 3.  South  Africa opens inning first  with Aiden Markrum and Ryan RIcklton and both the openers gave good start to team and then stubbs out on 49 runs and also Matushma score 109 runs well knock and Morraco Janson plays a well knock of 98 runs  South  Africa scores489 runs during their first inning. India opens inning with jaiswall and KL Rahul both openers played well and Jaiswall scores 58 runs and after openers wickets India got panic and lost there wickets early on but 48 runs of Washington Sundar helps India to make 201 runs. At the end of day 3  South  Africa  starts there 2nd innings with Riclton and Aiden Markrum and they scores 26runs at the end of day 3. South Africa lead by 314 runs.

Today is Day 4 of Second Test between South Africa and India and match is now at crucial point with South Africa likely to win both Test and series.
