After having a target of 254 to defend, England must be the favourite to win this match because New Zealand's batting is not good in these conditions. They are struggling badly in the first inning, and now in the second, just on the 3rd ball, Latham is gone.

This test is going to end too early, England got good runs on board thanks to debutant Emilio Gay and later good batting from Jamie Smith and Ollie Robinson, who bring the team total to a good target.

Kane Williamson just completed his 9500 test runs, but now it's time for saving his team from possible defeat in this first test.

English batsmen have done a good job in second innings by scoring 226 runs, they also have a lead of 27 runs from first innings and this means NZ have to score 253 runs to win the first test. Nathan Smith got 6 wickets in second innings but they are not worthy as English batting was able to score desired runs in their second innings. This is not a track where batsmen can score runs easily and that is why 253 is not an easy target to chase. NZ already in trouble while chasing the target, they have lost 3 wickets at a score of 36 runs. To win this test NZ need somebody to bat with responsibility.

The Kiwis are getting clobbered in the first test thanks to some epic bowling by the English(Especially Robinson). Never knew about this Nathan Smith dude from the Kiwis side, but he impressed me quite a bit. Jamieson was epic with both bat and ball.

Root and Willy are not at their best here. Hope Kiwis take the 2nd test for an intense finale between both sides.

After watching this game, I want the test matches needed to be reduced by 4 days. This could be good for all.

Might not be a bad idea because, as stats say, most of the games on Day 4 or even before, but it means changing the real cricket format to a new one because the new era batsmen can't bat longer if there is any assistance on the pitch. The test is still most loved by the true cricket fans so instead of making any abrubt changes, making amends that help the game to stay on better level is what good for the long term.

I will also agree with you that England can win tomorrow when the match starts because New Zealand's batting line-up looks weaker to me already we saw that in the first innings.

And yet in the second innings we got some insights into that they lost three important wickets in their top order for just 36 runs and Tom Latham got a golden duck. So I think when New Zealand come out to bat tomorrow the wickets will fall even faster even though it is easy to get 218 runs but they will not be able to do it in front of the England bowlers.

We cannot believe that a Test match between New Zealand and England will be like this because such low scoring matches between two Test playing teams are very rare. Lord's is usually a batting pitch but this time it is completely the opposite i.e. a bowling pitch where players like Joe Root and Harry Brooks are not able to perform well. But whatever the score of this Test is, it is very likely that England will win. Because so far New Zealand is behind by 218 runs where New Zealand has lost three important top order batsmen by 36 runs. That is, if three more batsmen are out then New Zealand will lose the match by a big margin.

His bad form continues from the IPL, and it will not do well for him in a very competitive environment within the team for the opening slot. I want to see how good Sai Sudarshan does in this match. The guy was in incredible touch in the IPL although he is playing a different format this time but he has the skills required to excel in this format.

On one hand, we have Phillips and rest of the Kiwis on the other hand when it comes to fielding. Smh! They really need to improve their fielding if they wish to win the remaining tests.

I was also expecting Sai Sudharsan to score his maiden Test century, but he lost his wicket once again in the 80's trying for an extravagant shot way outside the stumps. KL Rahul is playing a patient innings and he could complete his century in the final session. Considering the pitch condition, curious to see how long Afghanistan can bat against the Indian bowlers.

Rachin Ravindra, Devon Conway, Daryl Mitchell and Tom Latham actually helped England to reach a respectable total by dropping crucial catches. Tom Latham is already back in the pavilion, the match depends upon how long New Zealand can bat and whether the remaining batsman can rescue the team from this situation.

India is strong team in test cricket as compared to Afghanistan. Second session of day one is completed and India just lost lost 2 wickets after scoring 236 runs in first two session of test match. KL Rahul is playing with responsible scoring a well deserved half century and still playing at 93 runs, very closed to his well deserved century and i hope they will completed in third season of test. Shubman Gill is playing at 36 and they are also closed to his half century. Mohammad Saleem bowl really well so far picked two important wickets but no other bowlers pick any wickets that a concerning sign for Afghanistan bowlers because if they didn't picked any wickets in last season then Indian team scored huge runs on board. I think indian team will cross 350 plus runs on board at the end of day one.

Maybe another short Test match is going on for the England team. Why are the pitches so favorable for the bowlers? It needs to be pretty hard that it feels like we are watching defensive cricket-test cricket but the way the bowlers are getting quick wickets, it seems that it is T20 or a bowling practice session. However, New Zealand needs to score 199 runs more, and they have two more days to chase this hard target because they have already lost five of their top quality batsmen.

This is a completely one-sided match. India will win or draw. Afghanistan is unlikely to win. India lost only 3 wickets on the first day and scored 368 runs. KL Rahul returned to the dressing room after scoring 100 runs. Shubman Gill scored 103 runs and Rishab Pant remained unbeaten at the crease with 50 runs.

Afghanistan's bowlers could not take any advantage in the first innings. Pitch batting friendly. It is very difficult to bowl in a controlled manner on such a pitch. If Afghanistan's batsmen cannot bat well, then they will definitely lose.

England is going to win the England vs New Zealand match. The match was delayed due to rain today. England team was able to give a big target of 254 runs. New Zealand lost 5 wickets after scoring only 55 runs at the end of the third day.

India were so good in the day 1 of the test match, they already reached 368 runs and I think tomorrow after scoring 450+ runs which should not be hard for them, they needs to end the innings means declare the innings and let third class Afghanistan batsmen to bat, third class in the sense that their batting line up is not good at all and since Afghanistan played very less test games, their batsmen would surely make mistakes here in the hunger of runs because they don't know the actual difference between attacking game play and defensive.

Sudarshan rode his luck and gave 2 chances to afghans but slip and keeper kept napping every time. He's lucky that he reached his fifty and end up scoring 80 odd runs. If afghan held these catches then sai should have been in hut at just 18 runs.

Afghans were pretty good in outfield but lazy af in 30 yards circle and missed fair amount of half chances, they had opportunity to transform these half chances into wickets but they failed and every batter cashed in.

Afghanistan national cricket team could not restrict opponent team at low score and IND International cricket team made a good score on the board as their score is 368 with fall of 3 wickets and Afghanistan  cricket team bowling performance is very weak in this match because they should try to out IND team but they did not attack on IND team and they are behind in this match but they should try to all out as early as possible. Shubman Gill made a century in this match and he is top performer at that time because he made 103 and he is not out on the crease and he will try to make double century in this match as he has potential to do that and he always try to hit hard and play test cricket for the team when team required. KL Rahul made century in this match but he is out in this inning.
