I never expected Sri Lanka to dominate Bangladesh in this manner especially after seeing their World Cup performances recently. This just goes to show how Sri Lanka is still a quality team in the ODI format.

Bangladesh needs to make some radical changes if they wish to stay relevant at this point. A 3-0 washout and their dependence on Shakib is not helping them at all.

Even i was taken away by these performance by Bangladesh, after seeing the world cup i thought Bangladesh was a much better team and could even win the series in Srilanka but they got white washed and none of the matches were competitive as Srilanka dominated in every department in all the three matches and i am not sure how they can make radical changes and make some impact, they need to groom their players when their top players are in the team and that is how you built a team and not by making radical changes all of a sudden.

I do not know what changes will be effective but they really need to do something about Tamim. Also they need to find a bowling unit that take wickets. In the entire WC we have seen they were heavily dependent on their batting unit.

Anamul was given chance in the last match after a long time, he didn't perform well but I wish BCB decides to try him at least for 5/6 matches before deciding about replacement. He is a good opener for one day.
We don't have much bowling option these days. Mostafiz has become poor after the surgery. Other bowlers like Rubel, Shafiul can never be the bowler of first spell, to be honest. We don't have many option either. It would be better to keep focus on BPL to get some young bowlers at the team. Abu Haidar was doing fine but after poor bowling in 3/4 matches, he was dropped.
This is a big problem of BCB, never gives enough time, not applicable for Tamim though 

Now as BCB is gaining some good profit from BPL and good sponsors they need to do some work for strong setup as they must work on Bowling academy as MRF Bowling Academy in India which bring too many good bowlers for them because right now they are facing some serious drought in this  department and this can help them even take some long time but works surely.

In addition with the lack of Shakib, it was Srilanka, not England. In England, it was much easy to have score on the board. However, Bangladesh didn't play as expected, but if it was in Bangladesh, I bet SL will lose the series.

From Indian side Sikhar is back as an opener, Bumrah, Spin Twins are back as well ( only one play because Jadeja is also in the squad) Still testing time for Middle order.

For Windies, nothing going right at this moment if we look at their openers. Chris Gayle U-Turn can do some magic though. The middle-order seems reasonable, and they have above-average bowling line-up who can be very lethal in their day and win matches for them.

Sikhar's come back is good for India. He is one of the most experienced fella in the squad. Poor him that he had to leave WC campaign for the injury.

If Pollard is in the team today then he will not make much impact. That's just a feeling. I may place a bet for him to score under x runs.

@JSRAW you have updated here correctly it’s indeed reduced to 43 overs, but considering how weak West Indies are in ODI cricket I would not be surprised if India bowl them out before 43 overs. It seems to me that India’s captain Virat wishes to add to his record of chasing and winning matches. Resting Bumrah is a not a bad decision as he’s their star bowler, and he should be rested more often to have him fit for more important tournaments.

Well they are planning to develop some fresh talents for future. They are handing over a lot of chances to young talent in this tour. Hopefully we will have someone showing promising signs.

It's good to rest out regular faces especially when you are not against a good side.

I wanted this to be a 50 overs game but now it's reduced to 34. Today Lewis seems in a better form and Gayle is taking it easy.

I think they could make 150-160 runs because more would make it tough for Indian players who start chasing in the last 10 overs.

I am expecting West Indies to end up somewhere close to 160 even though Lewis is striking well at the moment. The rain affected the pitch and this could make it tricky for the Indian batsmen making 160 competitive in my opinion.

India will probably take this one easily as long as they don't play loose shots and build steady partnerships. Sticking to Lewis seems to have paid off for West Indies currently.

Rain again ruined the game. It may reduce to 20 overs now and this will make it even more tough for India to even chase. Hope the game gets cancelled if they reduce it further as I don't want India to lose now. They should have chosen to bat first.

I was out and could not watch any single ball. Now seeing it's raining and it's heaver now. I do not think they have reserve day. So I highly doubt there will be even a 20 over match. Okay for WI but I do not think India will be happy about it.

It's still raining and now the match has been called off. Sad that one complete match got washed away else India would have managed to win this one easily with Gayle getting out early. Still glad that they did not play less overs.

I was expecting this. Yap it's a loss for India. And easy win slipped away from their hand.

LOL what was wrong with Gayle? i Just noticed that he scored only 4 runs from 31 balls. This is not the real Gayle :-P By the way, this was his 299th ODI. quite a record for the legend.

Poor him. Well, once he is set in the pitch we all know what he can do. Gayle is one of the celebrity power hitter.

Only 2 more ODIs left so India has to win both for winning the series :=(

Let's hope that we do not see any rain and wash out match. India deserves to win this series.
