Well.. Netherlands has performed exceptionally well so far. That said, let me be clear on two points. I would still consider Scotland as the strongest associate team, well ahead of Netherlands. Both these teams (Scots and the Dutch) are far ahead of everyone else in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2. That makes me raise an uncomfortable question. If the ICC can give full member status to Ireland, then why can't they do the same for Scotland and Netherlands? These two teams are not that far behind of Ireland.

I had some idea that this match was going to be very competitive. And that’s exactly what happened. Yes, I guess we could say that the USA team was unable to reach close to the target in the end. I had some idea that this match was going to be very competitive. And that’s exactly what happened. Yes, I guess we could say that the USA team was unable to reach close to the target in the end. A win against Canada in the next match will leave the Dutch with 14 points. Scotland at 2nd place has only 9 points. ICC must take note of this. You can't keep these two teams (Netherlands and Scotland) in the same league with teams like UAE and Oman. Because the gap is just too huge. They deserve a promotion, for the sake of expanding the game. Both these teams have predominantly natives in their squad, and they have been performing consistently during the last few years.

I don't know is this match pitch was bowling friendly because I don't see any good performance from the side of the both team batting side.

Still, the Netherlands played impressive cricket and outplayed the USA in every department. It was a chasable target of 207 for the USA. All USA bowlers contributed equally and restricted the Netherlands to a below-average total. Max O'Dowd played an inning of 77 runs and helped the Netherlands significantly to win this match. In response, the USA batters did not perform well, apart from Monanak's 66 runs innings no other batter performed and it was not enough and the USA lost the match by 27 runs. At first, I thought 207 runs as a target would be too low for Netherlands as previously when tasked with chasing 238 runs against Netherlands, USA scored 218 runs. So I thought there was a chance that the USA might be winning this match. But the Dutch bowlers have proved me wrong.

They got a very early wicket in the first over and the wicket kept falling like dominoes for the USA. none of them could build a stable partnership but did get somewhat close to the target that they were tasked to chase. Monak Patel did try to hold on and scored an amazing 66 runs but his teammate on the other end just kept getting out. Kyle Klein did an amazing job with the bowl and got 4 wickets, Paul Van Meekeren also got 3 wickets. But I think the man who should be credited the most for the win of Netherlands is as always, Max O’Dowd. He scored an amazing 77 runs, which was crucial to the target that they set for the USA.

Scots are a class apart from the other associate teams. To be honest, I would say that they are at the same level (or even better) than some of the lower ranking full member nations such as Ireland and Zimbabwe. If the ICC is serious about expanding the game, then they need to give full member status to both Scotland and Netherlands. And the best thing about Scotland is that almost all of their players are natives (although most of them get an opportunity to participate in the English county cricket).

Yes, It is definitely too early to say. A lot of matches still left and I think we should wait before making any assumptions. But personally have to say something, think there is a chance that USA is going to improve their performance. And at the same time, Netherlands is going to Stay towards the top of the table. I think they are one of the best if not the best among these teams. I really want to see those teams do better which actually have native flowers in the team. Or at least players who are actually a citizen of the country. I am actually rooting for Netherlands. They have performed impressively at different times and also at different World Cups.
