This is actually a good matchup, especially after how Ginebra dominated the last one.

That said, I’m expecting Converge to make some adjustments this time. They won’t let RJ score as easily like in their previous meeting, and I think Juan Gómez de Liaño will bounce back after a poor performance. All in all, this should be a really entertaining match.

Justine Arana struggled previously due to foul trouble, yet I expect him to play more cautiously this time to avoid repeating the same mistake. With these factors in mind, I’m leaning toward Converge securing the win, so my bet is on them.

Converge has been responding well so far. The first half is about to end and neither team has even reached 50 points, so this is clearly shaping up to be another low-scoring game.

The good thing is Converge seems to have made the right adjustments already. Ginebra isn’t dominating them like before.
I’ll probably wait until after halftime, but I have a feeling Converge might take this one.

The never say die mentality wins again! Even how tough the game was gin kings showed their determination to win, they did not stop till the last buzzer and ended up snatching the game and the semis from converge, I really love to see independent team to move up and advance to the semis but who's not going to enjoy seeing that determination from the gin kings?

I wouldn’t really call it domination yet. For me, SMB still controls the All-Filipino Cup. With their improved lineup and JMF still playing at his peak, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if (my) our expectations end up wrong. This could turn into a short series, or SMB might even sweep.

Ginebra’s problem right now is huge. How do they stop JMF in the paint, especially when they play at a slower pace?

That actually favors SMB since it helps JMF conserve energy. And if you look at SMB’s second unit, damn, it’s just too strong.

I think they can. For me, ROS is a bit overrated. They have a good record mainly because they’re consistent against weaker teams, but when they face teams like SMB, Meralco, Ginebra, or TNT, they usually struggle.

Meralco’s current lineup just looks too strong for this young ROS squad. Hodge is already back, and their center is doing a solid job protecting the paint. ROS still has a chance though, but that really depends on their outside shots falling. I didn’t see that last game, scoring only 79 points doesn’t really inspire confidence.

What a game the gins comeback and win the game in overtime, but is the contact enough to call it a foul ? but still the gins manage to get ahead in the overtime, I think converge need to be very careful and the coach should teach his players to control and know when and how to foul when its crucial, the foul cost them the chance in the semis, I hope this would be a lesson for them, and a learning experience, and stockton should learn from this he's making lots of errors.

The line still hasn’t moved, but the odds did a bit, Meralco -2.5 is down to 1.86.

Yes, that was literally a do-or-die game and Ginebra never say die attitude have been activated again for that game. It was really like a finals game and can be said one of the best games for this conference. Either of the two gets in, they'll go far.
