This is really a problem with our team because most of the players are on different teams outside of Gilas, some even playing internationally. That makes it hard to keep them together for long practice sessions since they also have responsibilities with their respective teams. If all of them were coming from the PBA, it would be much easier because the league is based in the Philippines. The SBP could coordinate directly with the PBA bosses and teams to manage the schedule.

Yes, that's true and it's needed for the government to provide help of we wanted to improve our national team, just remember how coach Tab build those young stars where he really take his time to develop good chemistry within the team, then after that coach Puso took over and change everything, now it's CTC will handle the challenge there's need to find ways to make it happen else, we will going to end up short as how we seen that previous outcome.

Sorry for the off-topic but i just can't hold back my excitement seeing the highlights of the this year's FIBA Asia Cup finals between the Boomers and the Dragons. Who would have thought that this will be a close game as almost all of the opponents of the Boomers where blown away by an average of 20 points. Yes, the Australia won their 3rd consecutive Asia Cup title but not without a scare from the gutsy Chinese team.

Who here placed a bet on China? I didn’t get to place a bet because it was Sunday and I was busy with other things.

Sorry for the off-topic but i just can't hold back my excitement seeing the highlights of the this year's FIBA Asia Cup finals between the Boomers and the Dragons. Who would have thought that this will be a close game as almost all of the opponents of the Boomers where blown away by an average of 20 points. Kabayan I saw the last minute game of this match,. it is something really amazing and on how the Chinese playere missed the last 3 points attemp.
Anybody's ballgame that final was. They deserve the title who ever won but at the end, only one team will win.

MANILA — Kai Sotto has taken a huge step forward in his recovery from his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear.
The 7-foot-3 star of Gilas Pilipinas resumed non-contact training on Sunday, seven months after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee that required surgery last January.

Good development, and maybe by the next Gilas game, Sotto will already be fully healthy.
He’ll also be preparing for his B.League comeback, and hopefully we get to see him dominate there so his NBA hopes stay alive.

This is a good news they will be able to compete better underneath the basket, they were outrebound the last time, hoping he will be healthy since this will be his training for the next Gilas matches in the future, conditioning and preparation is the key also an addition with another big man will have them better rotation for rebounding and not depend much on Brownlee, i hope they have longer time to practice also for them to gel better.

Good for him, time to go back to the court and start preparing to condition his body again, even it's a non-contact training it helps to developed back his skills, we know that after that injury he needs to stay away to take his time to rest, we've seen on his formal attires accompanying her showbiz GF, but now we will see him back inside the court, hopefully he recover earlier, not just for this B-League comeback but more to the Gilas squad.

The schedule is out already with the Philippines’ first game in the World Cup qualifiers to be played on the road on November 28 against Guam in Group A of the qualifiers where Jericho Cruz could be in action for the hosts.

It is going to be a home-and-home series for both teams as the Philippines will then play host to Guam on December 1.

Season has finally ended with SMB vs  TNT finals, we will start the SEASON 50 of the PBA, this will be a big opening event as we celebrate the 50years of Philippine basketball Association.
The season will begin on October 5, 2025 until 2026. 1 Season - 3 Conference.

So any talk of a major shake-up in the league isn’t really in my vocabulary, except maybe watching how the new imports stack up against JB and RHJ. That’s the only real intrigue left for me.

Yes, there will be imports again next season and as usual, as long as Brownlee and RHJ are still around, chances are high they’ll meet again in the finals.

About that “Cinderella run” you’re talking about , hhmmm.. possible, but honestly very slim, almost impossible. The teams at the bottom aren’t really built to compete, most of them are just farm teams owned or controlled by the top franchises. It’s like a subsidiary company, and if the big teams want to, they can easily manipulate things.

LOL don’t be too harsh on them, who knows, maybe this time there really will be big changes. Remember before Tim Cone took over Ginebra? The team was tanking so bad people even called them kangkong because they weren’t improving at all. But then Cone came in, changed the whole system, and turned them into a championship team.

I used to admire the Hotshots, especially because of Ian Sangalang. He held his own impressively against Junemar Fajardo, which made him stand out. But lately, his performance has been slipping, and I’m not sure what’s causing the decline.

Yeah, Tenorio will definitely be put to the test this time as he steps into the drawing board. And by the way, LA isn’t the only rookie head coach making his debut when Season 50 tips off, Coach Willy Wilson of the Phoenix Fuel Masters will also be entering the spotlight for the first time.

Correct They should bring a better import they always out of gas when it comes to the playoffs i mean every time they are choking, many chances to get to the finals but always fail i thought they are going to make it but, TNT stop their run, also LA would be put to test since his play will pattern on who coach him, i will be happy if they make it to the finals and make it, what an achievement it will be for LA, but there are teams who will block the way like ginebra SMB, and TNT.

He also played with Ginebra before, but he actually retired with Phoenix Fuel Masters. Now it’s good to see him finally get his own team as head coach. Honestly, I thought they were gonna replace the coach, but instead he got promoted, shows they’re really valuing the people inside the team. Lets hope they will be a playoff team in the coming season.
