There is no safe place to store your assets, unless you are more careful. store in a hardware wallet in my opinion is safer or some of your assets store in famous exchanges (top 10).

Although an exchange might try to assure you of a secured platform, but the  the fact, considering most of what have happened to exchanges, they cannot be 100% secured. If there will be any of such, then the distribution process on those exchanges will be very slow. So, processing of transactions might take ages.

You are responsible for anything that happens to your account, either through mistake or carelessness, i do the following and i am very strict with my things like laptops and phone

- I don't keep private keys on my phone, i use hardware wallet
- I don't share my main email with any airdrop websites, they are hackers in disguise

The safety of our accounts is indeed our responsibility. No one else can be blamed for the compromise. If out of million accounts, only our ones get hacked, then obviously it happened due to no care. By ensuring that your password is long and complicated (preferably 32 characters and above, mixed with alphabets, numbers and symbols and upper and lower cases) and never use the same passwords in multiple exchanges... Also importantly, you should activate every security measure in your account like 2FA and you should also ensure that your email has very strong security, it wouldn't serve you well to secure your account and the hacker could just back your email and recover password from there and also use it to access for Google Authentication app.

Obviously the hackers, We try to keep our investments save by keeping pvt keys, passwords, logins secure and I think that's the best we can do. Try not to keep your cryptos on exchanges, keep them in wallets because it's safe. Never share your pvt keys etc with anyone.

Yes, exactly, I will for sure blame the exchange too, although they keep saying that it will not be their responsibility and that we should not leave our tokens/coins in their exchange, still if they do have a good reputation, they still need to make sure that they have secured the safety of their users and not just blaming people for leaving their assets there, as there's a lot of traders that trusted them.

Yeah it will be mutual fault of all people included, but I think it is 80 percent fault of the person who made investments in a coin but did not made securities for it. Before investing people should decide about the security like investing in promising coin and then select a good wallet for it. There are so many wallets but the best one is one and only Bitcoin.

we could separate two case in hacking. User account hacking which is their self responsibilities , and exchanges will not replace user losses.. Meanwhile if exchange hacking which is make users balance account null, they have to refund it. Many exchange could not refund their customer money and finally closed operation  and will need long time and much process to recover our fund.
