You cannot tell who hacks you unless the hacker wants to reveal themselves to you. Best way to avoid hacking is to keep your coins in a cold storage where only you has access to

Wait, sometimes storing in a computer that is often connected to the internet is also potentially subject to hacks or malware attacks. There is no safe place to store your assets, unless you are more careful. store in a hardware wallet in my opinion is safer or some of your assets store in famous exchanges (top 10).

Although an exchange might try to assure you of a secured platform, but the  the fact, considering most of what have happened to exchanges, they cannot be 100% secured. If there will be any of such, then the distribution process on those exchanges will be very slow. So, processing of transactions might take ages.

I believe that in this situation to blame you themselves. It seems to me that if you watch your safety, then such situations should not happen. In addition, if you don't have too large amounts, it is unlikely that you will fall for fraud.

That I believe can be anyone. But most likely be one of the fake online platforms we join using the same passwords we use for our accounts on exchanges.

You are responsible for anything that happens to your account, either through mistake or carelessness, i do the following and i am very strict with my things like laptops and phone

- I don't keep private keys on my phone, i use hardware wallet
- I don't share my main email with any airdrop websites, they are hackers in disguise
- I refuse to share my phone and laptop with friends because they can put spyware or keyloggers on my phone or laptops
The safety of our accounts is indeed our responsibility. No one else can be blamed for the compromise. If out of million accounts, only our ones get hacked, then obviously it happened due to no care. By following best practices, one can make it much hard for the frauds to take away useful information. Before performing any action, you must know the consequence beforehand. Never enter into an unknown territory.

So basically if we say that the security of an account is responsibility of its owner wont be wrong. He should be careful with his credentials. He must not put it every other place without questioning why. Mostly people do blunders or face losses due to their blind trust and no questioning. Usage of same password at every site is not a recommendation. Compromise at one place can put all accounts in danger.

Indeed, there is no one to be blame at as there is no one responsible with our own account is ourselves, so blaming others cannot make you recover your fund or your hacked account, so instead of blaming other people of the exchange site, it is you to learn about it, learn how you are going to manage your fund next time, how you are going to secure your account, it is important to have 2Fa always, don't ever forget this one.

if I've created account/wallet on coinbase or any other exchange then my account is hacked and my coins/money lost who are responsible for it
The Exchange where I've created account Huh
is it my mistake Huh
If it's just your account that was compromised, it would be considered your fault because if they pay for every hack, then people could easily fake it and claim that their accounts were hacked so that they would be refunded.

and how i make my account safe  ??
By ensuring that your password is long and complicated (preferably 32 characters and above, mixed with alphabets, numbers and symbols and upper and lower cases) and never use the same passwords in multiple exchanges... Also importantly, you should activate every security measure in your account like 2FA and you should also ensure that your email has very strong security, it wouldn't serve you well to secure your account and the hacker could just back your email and recover password from there and also use it to access for Google Authentication app.

the answer is quite simple. If you didn't follow the security instructions given by the stock exchange and you're hacked for that, you're responsible. but if you have followed the instructions, but the hacking took place, the responsibility rests with the stock market.

Obviously the hackers, We try to keep our investments save by keeping pvt keys, passwords, logins secure and I think that's the best we can do. Try not to keep your cryptos on exchanges, keep them in wallets because it's safe. Never share your pvt keys etc with anyone.

Is hacker fault 90%, 8% your fault because not take all measures to secure account and connect to it only from self place and 2% exchange fault because let hacker login from new IP if this happened when hack occured.

I would say that it is 50/50. At least half of the blame should be directed at you. Very few users who had enabled all the security features such as 2FA and phone authentication had their wallets hacked. Most of the time, these incidents involved those users who were either careless or too lazy to enable these basic security measures. And in case your funds are stolen from the exchanges, then 100% of the blame is on you. Exchanges are not meant for storing cryptocurrencies. They are only for trading.

General Exchange hacking, the exchange will be held responsible while individual hacking, you are responsible. That is why you should increase the security of your assets by adding 2FA and don't clicks links you do not know.

Yes, exactly, I will for sure blame the exchange too, although they keep saying that it will not be their responsibility and that we should not leave our tokens/coins in their exchange, still if they do have a good reputation, they still need to make sure that they have secured the safety of their users and not just blaming people for leaving their assets there, as there's a lot of traders that trusted them.

If our account is hacked, of course the exchange does not want to be held responsible for certain errors of the individual, but if the exchange is hacked, of course the exchange party will be responsible, both for matters 2fa is very important where the security of our account will be guaranteed security because the key holder is only in us, and don't forget to also provide a PIN code when we make a transaction so that security can multiply.

Account security is indeed a priority of the user, if hacking occurs and it is proven that the user is wrong then the exchange will not be responsible, except for the exchange error then you will get your money back. and for wallets like MEW you have a big responsibility for funds because no one can help if hacking occurs

Yeah it will be mutual fault of all people included, but I think it is 80 percent fault of the person who made investments in a coin but did not made securities for it. Before investing people should decide about the security like investing in promising coin and then select a good wallet for it. There are so many wallets but the best one is one and only Bitcoin.

we could separate two case in hacking. User account hacking which is their self responsibilities , and exchanges will not replace user losses.. Meanwhile if exchange hacking which is make users balance account null, they have to refund it. Many exchange could not refund their customer money and finally closed operation  and will need long time and much process to recover our fund.

Everyone is responsible for his or her action. People should learn to play safe. Without thinking of safety then your funds is gone. Let's try to avoid phishing links and try as much as possible to protect our private keys and password. In instances where every wallet is hacked in the exchange , then the exchange is responsible  for the hack.

If my account is hacked on an exchange, it will depend on the nature of the hack before I can say who should be responsible for it. Let's assume that they got my details through phising, I should be responding for it but if it is large scale hack that affect many, the exchange should be responsible for it
