if it's just happen to you, then the fault is made by yourself. You should used some superb security on your PC. The hacker won't just attacked the exchanger but also will attacked you. They usually send some Malware to your PC. Then they take some information from your PC.

I just recently learned my lesson from this like it happened today and thankfully it was resolved because it wasn't within my control on whatever the hacker tried to post. I think everyone should already take an extra precaution to whatever they browse in the internet. Don't just think of that you're safe, just because something isn't happening yet. In any day your account would just get compromised, and you'll just notice the signs that someone had access in your account. It applies to everything. Not just in your online wallet(though you should avoid it when your funds are there currently), but also to every account you have in the internet including your social media accounts. You'll never know the dangerous or dire situation that the hacker will put you at.

Yes, they are also responsible that's why we need to do trading with an exchange with such fund to cover our loss or when their exchange was account. But, when our only account was hacked, I think we are the ones' responsible for that, so be vigilant always and always think well before clicking something.

Well for me you cannot really blame someone just because they got hacked. Hackers will find a way if they really want to hack your account. The only thing you can do is to maximize the security that you have. If they have a double authenticator, use it to protect all of your coins in your wallet. Do not be lazy to set up the security of your account because that is for your own safety.

that is a reasonable reason. but sometimes some hackers can indeed access the wallet with weak security. even security as tight as large exchanges can also be hacked. it does not close the possibility with our wallet both online and offline.

IMO.. if the account that you registered at one of the exchanges is hacked then the one who has the right to be responsible is you yourself because you are not maximally secure your account every transaction, but if many accounts on the exchange are hacked then the developer responsible is the exchange due to security they are very weak

absolutely you, after making an account especially in exchanger make sure to enable your 2fa and other security etc and also bookmark the website of exchangers to avoid fishing sites, you are responsible for your security be carefull all the time.

That's not exchange's fault if only the amount from his wallet got stolen. Exchanges can be hacked but with coinbase, it has not happened so OP got hacked via malware installed on his device or his email account got compromised so hacker got the access to his wallet.

Actually there are records of some people who got hacked despite enabling the 2FA whether through SMS or app. But I guess right by now all the problems have been fixed and I haven't seen any hacking ever since. Most of exchanges already require 2FA to be enabled before giving the permission to withdraw or deposit so I guess this problem only happen in unpopular exchange with less security measures.

I guess it will be mainly your responsibility because it is your account. Upon registering your account it has been your responsibility to take care of it and anything that will happen to it must be taken up into you. On the other hand, the hacker do also have the responsibility because he is the one who have hacked your account just to take it into his own possession also for the sake of his own. But primarily speaking, it will be your main fault because maybe you have mishandled your account and did not take good care of the informations you have shared upon creating your account. Also, before creating an account, you must have checked first if the site you are trying to create an account is legible and a secure website. Because in most cases, intruders have been taken accounts due to the reasons that you have dive in into their trap site and filled in the information they needed to access your account. So whenever you create account, you must observe first and be able to know if the site is safe or not before creating an account. Upon securing your account, choose the most tight option on securing your account which exchanges do provide to keep your account safe. You can also ise hardware wallets to protect your assets. But most specially, you must be able to protect your account on your own by taking precautionary measures.
