It's possible but tough to succeed. There are people who managed to use this venue of activities to live a life, people who dedicate their time in quest of right patterns and skills to win over other gamblers / house if possible.

That doesn't mean that you are professional, you will not lose. There are a lot of gambling professionals that earned a lot of money from gambling but also lost a lot of money from it. I think you can convert the views from the poker world to the overall market of gambling and betting. In my opinion it's just a different type of sports like football or basketball. There are millions of people playing it, but only a small number of lucky few who can actually make a living of it. For example there is almost in every city in my country a football team, but only the largest cities can afford a full time professional player team. So to make it big in gambling and do so over a long period of time you probably need to be very lucky.

I feel that I don't have good gambling skills, making gambling as entertainment is more than enough. I also agree with you that sports

I can't say that almost all of them.

There were gamblers that have lived in better ways and didn't waste the money that they've won through their career. It is true that some of them don't know how to finance themselves.

But some are good at managing and budgeting their money.

I'd be happy to win 10th in a row, 100 in a row is just impossible, even a losing streak, it's almost impossible. This is a mathematical fact. Let's speculate:
On average, in order for us to have one winner and one loser, we need 2 people who bet on the event with an approximate probability of 50%.
If we are considering a series of bets (two), then we need 4 people already. On average, one person will have a result of 11, the second 10, the third 01, the fourth 00.
In order to "find" a person with 100 wins in a row, we need unimaginable number of players 2^100  
But as the odds increase, the number of players required drops to real values. And by the way, with 99% chances, one player and a long series of bets are enough.

The professional gambler loses their money in gambling, but their chance to recover their losses will be bigger than the regular gambler because they have a requirement to make money from gambling. But yes, the broker will take much profit from gambling, whether it is a professional gambler or a regular gambler, because the gambling will give the biggest profit to the owner. There is no way for us to know when our luck will come because that is the biggest mystery we do not know.
