Girona won their first match 1:2. Therefore, I still expect Girona to win in their next match against Sevilla. Football predictions are usually difficult to make, but given Girona's strength from the beginning of the season, with their Copa De Ray match win against Rayo Vallecano, I think they will win.

Already Girona's match against Sevilla isn't something to deliberate about because Sevilla can't stand the force of Girona and moreover, Sevilla isn't is a very good form since the season began so I don't see them making any difference in their match with Girona. Girona on the other hand is topping the table for now regardless of the fact that Real Madrid, who is their major title competitor for now has an outstanding match but I believe this is the time for Girona to Utilize this opportunity of topping the league so that should incase Real Madrid losses their outstanding match them Girona can comfortably claim the top of the league table.

Almeria's last match against Girona was tough, as they didn't give them a single chance to score any goal for the entire ninety minutes. However, that won't be an issue against Real Madrid, i believe Almeria will try to pull off a surprise victory to move out of their current position. Real Madrid, on the other hand, is in good form, they need the three points to take the lead of the table from Girona. The match will be very easy for Real Madrid to win.

For Real Madrid's match against Almeria, I think Real Madrid can't afford to trade that match for any reason and considering the fact that they are aware that Girona is topping the league table now will even make Madrid to play Girona with all they've got in them in other for them not to lose out the top spot of the league table to Girona.

If Barcelona sacks Xavier Hernández, they should get a more experienced coach who can manage the available players and maximize the meager resources that are available in the club. But I don't think there is any need to sack Xavi, a coach that won the La Liga last season and has qualified for the UCL round of sixteen. If he is sacked, I am sure Xavi will not be jobless for a long time because he is a good coach who maintains a good relationship with his players.

I believe that Xavi is a patriotic manager who have worked hard to bring the club to victory, last season was a testament of his efforts in the La Liga league but this season does not seem to be good for him as he's struggling with all efforts but that's not enough to have pushed the club forward to maintain the lead.

I am not happy for him because he is not achieving his dream to continue to take the club higher. In terms of performance, I can say that he's doing well, much more than the English coach, Ten Hag in terms of players and team management yet that's not just enough for him.

Clubs like Girona which is effective and efficiently managed by Michel are doing extremely well than one ever expected. But yes, it is time for them to shine too as they just joined the league in 2017. Barely 7 years after their entrance to the league, they are aiming very hard to take the league facing bigger and more celebrated clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid. Right now you can comfortably say that Girona have performed better than Atletico Madrid and Barcelona in the league.

Barcelona currently at 4th place with 8 different points below to Girona which is the team in the first place so a bit difficult for Barcelona to pursuing Girona and Real Madrid for race title so it's normal if people starting to worried Barcelona will be unable to defend their title but Barcelona sport director Deco has been says Xavi position is still safe and he wouldn't be sacked but Barcelona have to gets positive results for the next several matches just like against Unionistas de Salamanca CF at Copa Del Rey or against Betis in Laliga and if Barcelona lost again from those matches i am sure Xavi will be sacked

I would not want to attach any emotions to this news. But if we must mention, I will continue to assert that Xavi has done his very best and that's the capacity he has and have exhibited. It is his previous club so everything he does is with passion and the dream to win more trophies for the club.

I'd also want to say they lack a good defensive midfielder to shield the defenders and that's something they need to bring in before the transfer window comes to an end. They've been linked with players like Kalvin Philips and Joshua Kimmich though, one of em would solve that issue.

And then, they need to create more chances for Robert Lewandoski, I don't believe he is declining. He remains the perfect man for them.

I don't think Sergio Busquets not being in Barcelona is actually that big of a problem. The actual problem is Barcelona not managing their money perfectly. Because if Barcelona had the same level of money that Real Madrid has right now, this situation would have been very different. Imagine if  Madrid and Barcelona had the same level of money right now, Barcelona definitely was going to bring in another player in place of Sergio Busquets. Someone like Casemiro. But Barcelona cannot afford to do that right now. Barcelona cannot even register players that they have already acquired because of the budget problem.

But anyway, if Xavi has actually done something like scaring the players, it was definitely unprofessional from him. It does not matter how much he loves Barcelona, he cannot do that as the coach.

Last season Madrid won the Copa del Rey title and this season I am sure they will make it to the final or win it again, especially seeing that the strength of the main squad this season is much better than last season of course the meeting against Atletico Madrid today in the round of 16 will probably be a tough opponent for Madrid, but it seems Ancelotti doesn't want his team to be defeated in this match, Ancelotti will definitely field some of his best players today to face Atletico Madrid and also use his best strategy.

Diego Simeone will of course put pressure on his players to be able to play as optimally as possible or make it difficult for Madrid to win against them because what we know previously is that Atletico Madrid also beat Madrid in the Spanish league in their previous meeting in the Spanish league, that's why they certainly already know how to face Madrid. Ancelotti certainly knows that and will still learn from previous defeats to be able to perform better today.

Looking at the performance of the two teams lately they appear to be in their best form so far but playing at home for ATM is also a good advantage sinve they will have moat of them fans to cheer them up for victory against the big boys Real Madrid. I find this one very difficult to predict. The Copa del Rey is very prestigious and none of teams would accept to give this title away easily and the stats that were quoted here are quite insightful. I think Real Madrid is the team with higher quality, but if it is one of those days then I think Atletico Madrid can play the fiercest they can and that would be a real highlight to watch, a true battle between those two rivals. In 90 minutes I think it is quite possible it will end in a draw, but if I had to pick a final winner I would pick Real Madrid here. It's like they have a little advantage over Atletico.

They didn't play badly, but Celta Vigo were more successful in pressing and turning chances into goals. Valencia only managed one goal and that was from the spot in the first half.
Despite the pressure, Celta Vigo managed to come out and take advantage of the situation. If they can play like this every week, I think they will be able to get a better position in the La Liga standings. But yes, the problem is when they cannot have good stability so that every week their game is unpredictable.

In the Champions League I would be blown away if they made it into the final. I can look at it from many perspectives, but in the quarterfinals and semifinals they will meet at least one team that will eliminate them.

With the way Barcelona plays, it would be a miracle for them to make it to the semi-finals of the champions. They do not play well at all. They concede too many goals. How can a team like Barcelona be trailing 2-0 to Madrid in under 10 minutes? A defense like that doesn't go far in the Champions League.
The only chance they have against Napoli is that Napoli is also in a very bad phase of their own.

Barcelona's problems are not very big IMO me. All they have to do is stop conceding goals and start scoring goals. That's all they need to figure out how to do.

If Xavi doesn't win any trophy this season, I believe he should be sacked. He has done so well for Barcelona by taking them out of where Koeman put them, but I don't think he's the man to make them a fearsome side in Europe. They need someone else for that.

A miracle might not be the right word because last season we saw how much the drawings can do for teams that are not playing that well, but they are lucky enough to play against some of the "weaker" opponents in the Champions League.

I completely agree that it would be unexpected if Barcelona shows up in the semifinals of the Champions League. However, Barcelona could get lucky, win the game game against Napoli (or the aggregate of the two games) and then get Dortmund/Eindhoven or PSG/Sociedad or Porto/Arsenal. I think against these teams they would at least have a chance to win the quarterfinals, which then would make them reach the semifinals. It would still not be a miracle, but it would definitely be one if they face Manchester City/Real Madrid/Bayern Munich.

I am not sure if I have heard of something like this before at all. Threaten the players to leave if they do not trust him? I mean players normally don't care, hell I have even heard about players NOT wanting a coach, like making him get fired, but never seen players love a coach so much that the coach threatens them with leaving.

Normally that should not be the case, but if Xavi is loved that much then he has a chance to use that card. In the end, we should be seeing them get better, you can't have great seasons all the time, sometimes it's bad seasons and all you can do is find what went wrong and try to fix that. Their defense is not as good, then they should study what was great last year and what is not this year and fix that next year.

Whoa, I'm excited to watch today's tough match! To be honest, I love watching Atletico Madrid play real Madrid or Barcelona play real Madrid; those matches are always intense. Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are playing today in the Copa del Ray round 16 and both teams are extremely strong in the La Liga league. Atletico Madrid will not allow what happened during their previous meeting to occur again, but as long as Real Madrid's performance is superior to Atletico Madrid's, Real Madrid will still defeat Atletico Madrid. The last time Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid met was in the Spanish Supercup semifinal. Real Madrid defeated Atletico Madrid and also took the trophy from Barcelona at the final zone.

While Atletico Madrid can play very well against Real Madrid because they are also aware of how Real Madrid plays, I believe Real Madrid has changed how they play. Ancelotti will not allow Real Madrid to lose this match; in fact, he will want them to win a lot of trophies this season, which is why he never gives up by giving his players tips on how to play well. Tomorrow's first match is Barcelona vs Unionistas de salamanca. Barcelona will win this match very easily, so I declare in advance that Barcelona is qualified for the next stage. However, Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid will be a tough match.  Here both the teams are very strong so prediction between these two teams has become a very difficult task. But maybe Real Madrid can win the match but not sure. Because their opposition team Atletico Madrid is considered as one of the best team in La Liga series and they have won La Liga many times

Xavi is said to have threatened his players with leaving Barcelona if they didn't believe in him anymore. I'm not surprised with hearing such news honestly because Barcelona are really poorly performing these days. They have conceded so many goals so far unlike the previous season. It isn't good at all to see them in this situation in the middle of the season already. 

They aren't bad at scoring goals at least in general. However they really need to work on strengthening their defense. They don't have a bad defense line actually but the players just don't perform like themselves this season. Xavi will need to make them believe in themselves somehow.

I am not sure if I have heard of something like this before at all. Threaten the players to leave if they do not trust him? I mean players normally don't care, hell I have even heard about players NOT wanting a coach, like making him get fired, but never seen players love a coach so much that the coach threatens them with leaving.

Normally that should not be the case, but if Xavi is loved that much then he has a chance to use that card. In the end, we should be seeing them get better, you can't have great seasons all the time, sometimes it's bad seasons and all you can do is find what went wrong and try to fix that. Their defense is not as good, then they should study what was great last year and what is not this year and fix that next year.

By the way, what is the strong basis that makes Xavi so loved? Because so far, Xavi has only succeeded in providing good improvements for Barcelona only in La Liga over the last two seasons, but not on the European stage. Therefore, I am not sure that Xavi is completely loved by the current Barcelona squad and indeed, Xavi is a club legend but not for a coach . Because if a club legend fails to become head coach, the fact is that the club will not hesitate to fire him too and that has happened at several big clubs out there . So yes, whether Xavi is loved or not, of course it is not appropriate to make threats like that because yes, what is needed is about forming strong and good motivation and morals and not about threats.
