Barcelona odds are way better than Espanyol which has a hard season with many defeats. Considering Barcelona rarely receiving goals and Espanyol getting 1-2, it will be a surprise if they will be able to get a draw in this catalan derby.

I am not sure whether it is more competitive or not, but only 2 teams have the chance to win La Liga title. It means, it is no change, it is the same as in previous seasons when only Barcelona and Real Madrid competed for the title. TBH, I actually expect Atletico Madrid joins the race for the title, it makes La Liga more competitive. Sadly, Atletico Madrid performed very badly, they even struggle to come back to top 4.

By the way, I predict Barcelona to win against Espanyol easily, especially since they will play at home. Real Madrid also will have no problem getting 3 points against Valladolid. It seems there will be no change in the top 2 of La Liga standings.

This is how you guys bet and lose game. How can you call Espanyol and valldolid a weak team. As if these team has not won Madrid and Barcelona before. Predictions are not the way you see team. Benzema has finally recovered from his injury which is great news for Real Madrid. I can't say it like they were too bad in his absence. They were still scoring goals but they lost points in really unexpected matches quite often in the La Liga as well. Maybe if Benzema played in those matches then the things might have been different. Real Madrid are still in need of his services quite much these days. Because they don't have a proper substitute striker to fill his place well for now.

Rodrygo can play there but he isn't a natural striker. He showed this by his performance so far as well. I don't mean that he was too bad but he wasn't able to score goals as many as Benzema. Mariano seems like the only natural striker in the subs but he is much worse than these two players.

It is great news for Real Madrid's team. Before the world cup finals he was seen training with the french team in Qatar meaning until now he will be fully fit to start the first game for Ancelloti. He is still an important player for Real Madrid and will be very instrumental at this crucial moments where they have to be at their best to compete with Barcelona for the league title meaning they have to be winning games.
