As a result they are now 5 points behind their eternal rivals, Barcelona. Unfortunately Real Sociedad couldn't get a win against Real Madrid because Real Madrid's defense was difficult to penetrate and fortunately Real Sociedad didn't lose to Real Madrid because when they lose, Real Sociedad will definitely move down and out of the top three at the top of the standings.

Really? He has played a better season than expected at start because he has become a more goal productive midfielder. You can not blame on a midfielder when a team can not score a single goal in a match.

I would say that it's not just about goal scoring, but I also do not agree that he played badly. I mean if he scored that would be great, if he helped assisted scored and all that yeah that would be great, and just because he has been scoring doesn't mean he is good, he is good because he played great in other parts of the game as well and that's why I like him so much, he is a hard worker and he constantly runs and helps on every part of the field.

However, he wasn't to blame here, in fact I do not think that anyone in the team was to blame in this situation, I think it was definitely something that would help them if they were just a little bit more lucky.

Real Madrid was unable to win in the last match. And that certainly puts Barcelona in quite advantageous position. Barcelona now has 5 points advantage over Real Madrid. This is obviously not very huge but this does give Barcelona a little bit of breathing space. I also thought that there was no way Real Madrid was going to lose this match. But they did not win the match as well.

Actually, it does feel like a loss for Real Madrid. I still don't think it is going to be easy for Barcelona. Because even a single mistake can bring things close with Real Madrid for Barcelona.

It's funny to say he's a bad player just from one game.
He is a mainstay of Madrid and he is flexible can be anywhere and always do his best, how is that to be a bad player.

You are right, Real Madrid's failure to win full points is not at all surprising but that is normal because their performance is not good. Real Madrid were lucky not to concede during the match, but if they concede then that 1 point will never happen in my opinion.

3 points ahead of Real Sociedad is actually still safe for Real Madrid because Madrid still has 1 game less than Sociedad. Real Madrid can maximize their chances in that match to bring the gap with Sociedad to 6 points. Obviously the expectations are very high, but Real Madrid haven't been looking good lately. The result of the game was dissapointing for me but it was somehow expected because real sociedad are not an easy team to win. Barcelona are now further away with 5 points clear in the laliga title race and would be looking to maintain this gap and pray that they continue to win games and be in their top form.

Álex Remiro is good, he makes his mistakes once a month but in the match, he surprised me, those shots that he takes from Vinicius were great. All in all, consistency is the most quality every player should possess.

While Benzema and Vinicius Jr both were in the game it was interesting to see none of them being productive. This was just the result Real Sociedad wanted from this game of course. Because it was obvious that Real Madrid were going to be in control. Maybe they couldn't resist Barcelona in the Copa del Rey but they did it against Real Madrid.

It is true that Real Madrid was very dominant in the game but they resulted with 0 goals. No Real Madrid players could make a difference, which means Real Madrid needs a new goal machine. Benzema seems no longer as productive as the last season, while Vinicius and Rodrygo still can't be productive enough in scoring continuously. It is just strange that Carlo Ancelotti never tried a big effort to sign a new striker during this January transfer window. He must know that Real Madrid is decreasing gradually in goal productivity. With this situation, Real Madrid seems to miss the La Liga title this season. And they already missed the title of Copa Del Reay too.

The 3 point is very important  to real madrid , it was unexpected that they will miss the 3 point. I wasn't expecting real sociedad to be that tough for real madrid.  The good team about the game was real sociedad didn't win the game, it would have been a painful lose for real madrid.

Surely, this was a disappointing match result if we see how Real Madrid couldn't make any score against Real Sociedad. Although Real Sociedad is not a small club, commonly Real Madrid will be able to manage it and make good results. However here, it seems that their performance is really decreasing. I was excited when they were able to defeat Atletico Madrid in Copa several days ago, I did think that Real Madrid's performance would be much better again, but in La Liga, it seems to be back again decreased performance. Their motivation seems to also decrease currently, Ancelotti should be able to rise up again their motivation and also do something better strategy to make victory in every match. The next matches will be probably not easy for them because they will also face Valencia, although, on paper, Real Madrid must be superior. But seeing how they played against Real Sociedad, I am really worried about the next result.

It's the same here, I believe Real Madrid will not have too many problems to get 3 points in the match against Real Sociedad, but in fact they were frustrated the whole match. Carlo Ancelotti still praised his team even though they failed to win the home game. I think he needs to work hard to improve the team's performance following Barcelona's recent good form.

He said: "It was a shame because we played very well and we deserved to win. We played a complete game, one of the best of the season, but we didn't have any luck.

"The team is improving and growing and physically we are much better. Now the injured return and we have confidence for the coming months.

"We have done very well with and without the ball and all we had to do was score, we came so close but it is a draw. I am satisfied because the team has played very well."
