I wasn't expecting Real Madrid to struggle to win the game but Real Sociedad has given them a torrid night at he Santiago Bernabeu. Carlo Ancelotti's current formation has been working for the club but I think it'll be difficult for Madrid to win without recognized striker when they face stronger opponents in the UEFA Champions League competition.

Same here, I thought that this game would be easier for Real Madrid as Real Sociedad hasn't been doing that well so far, but quite the contrary happened. Real Sociedad was very active and resilient. The ball possession was about equal for both teams and in most of the other statistics Real Sociedad was close to Real Madrid. I think a player like Vinicius Junior is definitely missing as it reduces their attack speed in particular. But still they haven't dropped any points yet and so far efficiency is with them. Bellingham didn't score, maybe a fact to note!

An outstanding performance from Real Madrid today as the manage to win their match against Real Sociedad, after a one goal down in the first half. Real Madrid hope came back as Valverde gave his club the equalising goal on the 46th minutes of the second half. Ancelotti has a good midfield and this was the advantage that he used over Real Sociedad.

Joselu gave his club the victory as he scored the last goal with a brilliant shot 13 minutes after the equaliser. Bellingham couldn't have a wonderful moment in today's game as he was a goal on the 90th minutes with a flying header. Something is amazing in this club, they don't have a good striker but they are still winning their games. Maybe the champions league wouldn't be the same for them.

Bellingham is the man to look out for in Madrid squad because he has been a potential star man in the shoes Benzema left empty to fill. The Madrid squad should not bother about losing, but a win with slight goal margin possibly of above 1.5, and perhaps a draw is expected, I must say it will be highly unlikely too.
A slip in today's game on the part of Madrid might see Barca come close to taking the lead in subsequent matches and it is clear how difficult Xavi would make it be for Ancelotti to try to recover the top spot once lost.

The goal by Barrenetxea put RSD on the lead in the first half despite Kepa's saving but the rebound went straight to the net. Ancelloti has always taken advantage of the second half of his games, and it's all evidence in the reawakening of real Madrid  with an early second half goal from valverde and a second goal from joselu  putting the game in favour of Madrid.

Take Mubo made good use of the speed he has and also the open spaces  Madrid held on tight  for if they had not hold down that pressure  they should have conceded  goals in the first half. Some good savings from the Madrid number one man.

I agree that Real Madrid will have problems if they meet better teams than Sociedad, Getafe, Celta Vigo, Almeria and Bilbao. Of course they can lose points because of it.

This was a bad match for real Madrid even though the managed to win the match with 2:1 which came late since Real Madrid concluded the first goals but we're able to equalize after a tough chase up along the way,  this make a lot of sense if Real Madrid take the winning as a warning sign of what is ahead of them in this season.

Yes, in the end the match was won by the home team. Real Madrid initially had verry difficulty penetrating Real Sociedad's defense in the first half, but they managed to recover after the second half started. Valverde was amazing, of course it was a very beautiful goal from him.

In this match, Bellingham failed to score a goal but he made a big contribution to his team's victory. Ancelotti really gave him good confidence and of course good performance is always expected. Real Madrid's main obstacle in this match is that they don't have players who really help attack on the right and most of the attacks are built on the left side where Rodrygo plays. This means that Joselu was only lucky to score 1 goal from the 2 opportunities he had.

You're right. It was quite surprising that Real Madrid was conceded goal in minute 5'. At the moment, I think Real Madrid will get defeated by Real Sociedad. But Real Madrid could come back, they made 2 goals in minute 46' and 60'. I am happy that Joselu made a score again, it proves that he deserves to be the main striker of Real Madrid during this season.

Well. Vinicius and Arda Guler got injured for some weeks, Real Madrid needs to change the formation. But I think the new formation looks quite effective. Today, Real Madrid proved it again that they could win the match although some key players are absent (Courtois, Militao, Vinicius).

Anyway, I think Ancelotti needs to consider signing a player who can play as the right and left winger. They need a substituted winger to be the option if Vinicius or Rodrygo can't play. It is also important besides the urgent of a new top striker.

Real Madrid wasn’t expecting that game play from Real Sociedad in first half which made them receive the first goal and still suffering from the continuous attack of Kubo and his teammates, which appeared to be a great and most important player Real Sociedad. In the other hand i think the white house prevented a bigger loss if it wasn’t Kepa the goalkeeper that saved many dangerous shots and gave hope to his teammates for the comeback.
Second half Real Madrid showed us a better gameplay and they knew how to control the match, not giving a chance for Real Sociedad to gain more trust so they started straightforward from the beginning of second half in scoring the draw goal and later a second one.
It wasn’t an easy victory for them as the rest previous matches where they scored the winning goal in last minutes or were close to draw or lose as well, So seeing this performance of Real Madrid I doubt they will win in next classico coming soon next month. Diego Simeone is surely under pressure because of the weak performance they had, while Diego Simeone and the Atletico Madrid fans were thinking the game against Valencia couldn't be a hard team for them to lose points, they lost the game while Atletico Madrid had more control over the game.

Because if the big team equalizes before the small team is able to score another goal to add to what they have, the small team will start playing to get a draw and will stop attacking, putting them in a defensive position. And against a top team like Real Madrid, if you give them plenty opportunity, they are surely scoring you. Real Madrid knew that they needed to win this game to go back ahead of Barcelona with two points.

The lose against valencia was hurting my eyes. The club's performance has been dropping so crazy against valencia. Atletico madrid was not even playing in that game caused by valencia was dominated the whole things against atletico madrid started with ball possession, shot on targets, passing and many more. Atletico madrid needs to at least change their manager which was always using old strategy that can easily be predicted by another club. I can't even remember how long simeone has been coaching this club but it surprises me that atletico madrid is still coached by him.
Valencia was just giving surprise to all of them by scoring three goals without even conceding a single goal from atletico madrid. Simeone needs to do some evaluations as soon as possible before it will play against lazio in UCL soon.
