Becoming champions for Girona is a good hope but on the other hand they must also be aware that if the target is the trophy then they must still try even harder because apart from good performance they also have to face some big clubs even though Barcelona are currently on a downward trend but there is still Madrid ready to block them. Real Madrid is the best team in the world and any player that plays for the club will definitely be at his best performance all the time, Real Madrid doesn't take chances if their player doesn't play well, they dropped them and bring in good backup replacement. This should be rumor as there’s no sense of truth in all of this. Even though Carlo Ancelotti still likes Karim Benzema playing style and wish for a striker like him, the Real Madrid management will not allow him back into the team after leaving just last season and wish to have another career somewhere else. This again, he’s not a youngster anymore and will be retiring very soon when he can’t perform efficiently as he does now due to aging that will affect him also.

This is good news  to boost the confidence of the Real Madrid team because, knowing how solid your defense and the keeper is will boost the confidence of the strikers knowing that if they are able to get goals their back  line will be able to defend their goals and keep them from conceding.

IMO, for me this discussion, is something of a balance between both teams. Girona was able to score 51 goals, and they conceded 25 goals. quite balanced with the work they do. At least, the goals they scored were twice as many as they conceded. The point is, their productivity is greater than the number of goals conceded. I agree that Girona has a good attack, but that doesn't mean they sacrifice their defense. It could be that the Girona players' defense is not solid enough, they are too involved in helping the attack as you said. Or, indeed, Girona's defensive players are not solid enough between the combination of senior players and young players. I think Real Madrid will never try to sign again Benzema after they sold him to Al Ittihad. There is no advantage to have Benzema in Real Madrid squad now.
