If they really split up I feel this is a loss for Barcelona, yes now Barcelona's perfrmance under Xavi's direction is not so satisfying, but in my opinion he still deserves a chance. What I have noticed with clubs in terms of consistency is that, for a club to retain it performance or records based on tournament title, they have to apply some can of strong factors and if a club failed in that directions, they will be having alot of problems struggling to be consistent, Barcelona in the last season was on top of the league and even beating bigger clubs like Real Madrid who also struggled for the title with Barcelona.

But in this season 2023-2024, same Barcelona is losing it consistency and also not being able to mentain the previous record their created, this and many more makes it hard for us to rightly speculate what the conditions of a club will be until we see them play out the 90 minutes.

In my opinion Girona is super refreshing because yes on the one hand they are conceding quite a lot of goals, but on the other hand they are playing an amazing attacking football, which I like a lot. But that's obviously like a tax they have to pay for their spectacular offensive game. It opens up space for their opponents and they take a risk.

I would rather watch a game with a team that wins most of their games 4-2 than teams that win most of their games 1-0. I don't disrespect teams getting away with 1-0 all the time, but as a viewer I do prefer the Girona style because it is still highly competitive as the La Liga table shows.

I think this could be a race until the end of the season, but the next two games will shed some light on the situation when Girona will have played two of their hardest games this season.

Their defense was poor and seemed to rely on each other in this match, making them have to be willing to lose points even though it was actually still able to get 3 points because after all, seeing from the last 3 goals created from Villarreal, they all came from fast counterattacks and poor defense cooperation that made Barcelona lose momentum.

Quite unfortunate actually in this match but on the other hand this is indeed a thing that emphasizes that Barcelona is a different club at this time, especially for their defense.

I would rather watch a game with a team that wins most of their games 4-2 than teams that win most of their games 1-0. I don't disrespect teams getting away with 1-0 all the time, but as a viewer I do prefer the Girona style because it is still highly competitive as the La Liga table shows.
