This season their scheme is a little different although in terms of actual players it still supports a 3 striker formation but after losing several players last season especially losing Benzema it looks like Ancelotti wants to try with 2 strikers and 1 second striker where Jude's role is emphasized to be a midfielder as well as attacking simultaneously and that successfully makes him stand out but on the other hand there are some changes that actually make some players lose their role in the end.

I am not sure if cautiously is the right word here. I think if they had the possibility to simply play better, they would do it I would assume. But Barcelona can't play better than that because what does cautiously even mean. Watching Barcelona through the first half I wasn't really convinced they are going to win this match despite been a goal ahead because I've witnessed cases they were two goals ahead and later lost with a scorelines of three two and in tonights game their performance hasn't been such that is really impressive personally .

And the second half has been a better performance from the Barcelona team as Vitor Roque has made the goal tally to a 1:3 in the 63rd minutes to keep the Barcelona team in a comfortable position in the game. The difference in points between Madrid  and Girona is  only 2. There is no doubt  hat Girona  are playing very  well this season. This  team is winning consistently. They only lost against Madrid. Lewandowski's performance has been declining a lot, and he is now nothing rather than an average player in the barcelona. His performance is very different compared to the last season. I think that financial issue was the main reason that was also making the situation in the club become even worst.

The sudden decrease in players input was a shock to them and even their manager is the same. With Xavi as their manager and many of the players are people that played great last year, the expectation was to have a great season.
