In this match we can also see Sorloth's debut as Atletico's new striker and his performance was quite good even though he failed to score a goal. Here Atletico played very seriously where they fielded their main squad and conversely Juventus only used half of their main squad. Barcelona can accept with attacking players they have and only need to look for another striker for preparation of replacing Lewandowski in next seasons. Other attacking players in Barcelona are good enough and if they still have money, they can try to strengthen their defense system.

Barcelona in finance, is not good so if they overpay money for buying players especially for positions are not too necessary, they will put their finance into worse condition. With their bad finance, they need to be careful with any decision on transfer purchase and player salary. Playing well is good but they need to have back up plans for seasons they can not play well and income will be affected. They need to aim at two purposes, acceptable results, and improvement on finance with time.

With Nico Williams, Barcelona don't need to buy this player and it makes sense if they give up on this transfer after some negotiation with Bilbao.

Unless there will be another surprise this season in Laliga like we saw Girona did last season, if nothing of such happens the traditional 3 teams are still going to dominate Laliga. Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. These clubs has been the top performers for years in the league and am not expecting that to change this season, though I would still prefer other clubs to rise to the occasion and make the league more and more competitive. Atletico Madrid has recruited important players to their squad and looking at them it seems they want to make a statement this season by going for the league. They have the right players now to challenge for the league. They made some good transfers that I'm really impressed. I see Atletico Madrid as the club that will rival real Madrid for the league this season, though many are expecting Barcelona to do that but for me Atletico are more equiped for that, than Barcelona.

This rumor has come to the fore again after a period without any clarity, but in this case I do not feel that this can easily happen especially for the deal even though there is news that Nico Williams is currently in personal negotiations with Barcelona but I am not sure that the deal for Nico to leave can be completed especially with Barcelona's problems which actually remain the same where their finances are still very difficult to bring some players at high prices.

Currently if we look at the data from transfermarkt we can see that the value of Nico Williams is 70 million.



This is not a cheap price for Barcelona especially with the previous Dani Olmo deal so there could be obstacles in the transfer later. They may still be able to force this but on the other hand they also have to think about the long-term finances that they must maintain in order to avoid other problems such as taxes or player salaries.
