They failed to take advantage of Barcelona's mistakes in the previous match against Osasuna, but the derby match was indeed difficult and high-tension.

Atletico Madrid received 1 red card in this match, but it no longer had a big impact on the match because Marcos Llorente was sent off towards the end of the match when the score has 1-1. If the day before Real Madrid was happy with Barcelona's defeat, then perhaps today that pleasure has faded because 1-1 is the final score for this match.

Real Madrid are real lucky in that game since they should have lost the match if the penalty call towards the very end of the game was awarded to Atletico Madrid. Now the visitors have been able to extend their unbeaten run to 40 games and would be looking to further expand it if their next three Laliga games against Villarreal, CELTA and Barcelona go well in their favor.
