However, I believe we are going to end up seeing Real Madrid still end up winning this game, they are just too good not to. They are also close to Barcelona, they can't lose points now, they need to win every game until they catch up to Barcelona, otherwise the points gap would grow and Barcelona will play Alaves, which they should be winning.

But what I am saying is looking at the circumstances and also the finances of Barça, it does look really hard.

So even though I think The Catalan Giants have less chances to win the La Liga title, however the chance is never zero.

Barcelona’s financial situations have nothing to do with the team’s performance as we have seen from the beginning of the season. Barcelona under Hensi Flick started very well and has just lost one match so far in the campaign, they are three points ahead of Real Madrid if they keep winning their games which I think they can because of their last game was a mistake because the coach underrated Osasuna in the beginning of the game.
Nevertheless, I am doubting Hensi Flick, and with the young squad he have in the Barcelona squad, I think if injuries didn’t affected them, they can try to win the Laliga title.

Yes, you are right, Real Madrid have good squad that can win title but they lack solid defenses. And I think their squad depth is not as good as expected especially defensive wise, but they can get all they want and can win the title if Barcelona fails along the line because with the way I am seeing this Barcelona squad, if injury will not disturb them, they can also defeat Madrid.

Real Madrid needs more goals to be sure the victory is sealed, they might be leading but it's not the end of the match even though they're more dominating it's just about 60 plus minus and there's still more time for their opponents to equalize the goal so to be on a more safer side, I think Real Madrid needs to try as much as possible to find the net again and make it 2-0 or 3 if possible or better still defend the 1-0 they're leading. But I think they don't need to be comfortable with just 1-0 cause Villarreal could utilise just one good chance to equalize and park the box and by then it might be too late for Real Madrid to score another and get full three points. However I think the players understands that 1-0 is not enough cause I see how well they're trying to create chances to another goal if not that Villarreal defenders are a little tough and making it slightly difficult to score but I feel another goal would occur in the match and hopefully it would be from Real Madrid cause Villarreal are not looking very dangerous at the moment. Oh what a goal from Vinicius Jnr, he scored even before I finished stating that Real Madrid are the most favourites to score another goal. Kylian Mbappe was replaced with Rodrygo coming on, then Vinicius with a powerful shot found the Villarreal goal for Real Madrid's second goal.

Real Madrid have much better players than Villarreal, so I wouldn't wonder why Villarreal lost. Winning 2-0 over their opponents clearly makes Real Madrid more comfortable controlling the game, they just need to maintain it while creat up opportunities to score additional goals.

The question should probably be, should Ancelotti be experimenting with a fixture against a team that are seated below them(Real madrid) ?. If Villarreal eventually scores, hope Madrid knows that they will be in same point with Villarreal?(I'm not even sure of who will be sitting at the second position on GD). Though, I am not watching the game currently, but I will be joining soon(maybe at the 80th minute). The Mbappe, Vini and Rodrigo's combo is what I have enjoyed from their past few games. I think the Real Madrid team is just being very lucky lately in the league games because I don't think they are doing a good job in their performance, they were able to score two goals but their game play is not getting better because they hardly dominate games anymore even getting goal attempts has also become a big problem for the Real Madrid team.

Yeah I know that getting the desired results is the most important thing and they have the 3 points in the bag already but can you see that you are not going to be settled until you hear the final whistle whenever they are playing? I can't believe they would play a 90 minutes game but they managed to make 2 attempts from the beginning of the match to the full time this is not good, Ancelotti really need to work on the performance of his players, 90+minutes and Real Madrid still leads by 2:0, they are winners already.

Based on replays, it looks like he has a knee injury that we don't yet know the severity of. But hopefully it's not too serious.

Somehow I saw him kick the ball so hard while being blocked by one of the Villarreal players. This victory was clearly very expensive because Carvajal is one of the most important players in the Real Madrid squad. If Carvajal has to be absent for several weeks, then this is the time for Lucas Vázquez or another player to fill the void.

La Liga has only been running for eight weeks, there are still many matches to be played by all teams including Barcelona. Currently Barcelona is at the top of the standings, even though it has 21 points the same as Madrid. However, if Barca wins tomorrow against Alaves, then they will maintain the points gap with Real Madrid. For now, no one can guarantee that Hansi Flick will be able to maintain his team's position at the top of the standings, unless Barca has a significant points gap. Moreover, if we talk about champions, they are fighting for it even with their limitations. What is certain is that under Hansi Flick's guidance, Barcelona has performed much better than before. The injury of Carvajal today is definitely concerning especially, given how important he is to the team with his big experience. Losing him for long period could have a big bad impct on the defense, especially if it turns out to be a serious knee issue. It’s tough to see a key player like him without many choice to replace his position and his importance.

I can’t believe my bad luck lately, I lost two bets on Real Madrid just recently when they drew against Atletico and then lost against Lille. I thought the odds at 1.25 were not worth the risk compared to their shape lately, also with Villarreal performing well this season, I hesitated and stayed back. Carlo's squad is phenomenal and that's the most important thing...The inconsistency in league teams is real and there's nothing a manger or player can do to oppose that. You just have to understand that sometimes, you're gonna lose no matter how hard you try. Carlo can't afford to bear the loss of pairing mbappe, jrn and rodrygo in a one match.

Don't you think it's seemingly early to be talking about all of this already, mbappe is apparently doing his very best and Madrid hasn't been faced with any less of challenges, you should also understand he's not the only player in the team and wouldn't be the only person to make all the goals and win the game,  he will be needing his team mates to assist him and if they are challenged with injuries and some inconsistencies, it will affect his productive rate, so mainly that could be one of the challenges he may be facing at the times, just maybe Madrid may bounce back and all of this would be something we will not be thinking about again as they will make good attempts at all the prestigious trophies.

The presence of Mbappe does provide some changes in position and match time. But specifically in this match, Ancelotti seemed to pull Mbappe in a faster minute.
