Yeah, that's true. Real Madrid really needs to beat Barcelona in their next meeting regarding through the league competition otherwise it will be so hard for them to catch up to Barcelona. Barcelona looks more dominant, like they are just on a winning track. Their attacking players are just hungry for the goal and victories. This season they play so beautifully. A team can move from their present top position to a little bit down position. Those below 1st position can move to 2nd or third position depending on their performance.

Who knows what the remaining matches will be for the top teams. I am sure that the top teams in the Laliga league table won't stay unbeaten until the end of the season. They may encounter one or two draws or loss matches before the end of the season

It is assumed that Real and Barcelona will be successful in the Champions League (at least one more round), plus Athletic must win against Rangers in the Europa League. Thus, La Liga will most likely enter the top 2 in the UEFA ranking and get the 5th ticket to the Champions League. Therefore, the battle between Betis and Villarreal, which now have 44 points, is literally a battle for a ticket to the Champions League.

Oh, I really forgot about the extra spot thing for the Champions League. Thanks for reminding me about it. It is a new thing after the format change so I assume that's why I have had some difficulty in getting used to it.  

Real Madrid and Barcelona can even face each other in the finale there. You know their way on the bracket is providing them the chance. Athletic Bilbao can also even win the Europa League. Therefore I agree. If we don't see a big surprise, the La Liga should be able to get that additional spot. In this case I wonder which one of Betis and Villarreal will qualify for it... Barcelona happens to be the only team that is given Real Madrid a very tough time for the league title this season. They’ve met twice and both end in defeats, so far I don’t know how Real Madrid tend to win in their next meeting if they really want to win the La Liga this season also as Barcelona is ahead of them on the table now and only the second leg match in the La Liga is another chance for them to close the point gaps on the table.

The league title race is too intense for we to say any team is the champion now. Barcelona are still topping the league now but other things might occur that would affect their form especially losing a key player to injury and this is among the reason they got ahead of Real Madrid again this season in the title race.

In the beginning of the season, there were signs everywhere that Real Madrid isn't going to make it to where they are now but along the way, Barcelona negligence affected them whole heartedly. Like who lose 5 games in a row? The whole of that month was in loses for Barcelona and they dropped down all the way from top to third place, that was when Real Madrid had the opportunity to go back to the top but they also did lose some games in the end.

Now that Barcelona is hot and don't want to repeat the same mistake, I don't know who is going to take this trophy. My mind is telling me that Real Madrid will want to fight harder but they can't go far, they have been trying to hide their weak points which is their midfield, it's weak and not well connected but Anceloti is managing it like that but for how long, there are match's they should have won but it's because of that reason they have to proceed to penalties, they can't win the Laliga that way.
