At this junction, Arsenal really needs to choose which of the titles to contend for, either focus on the Champions League or focus on the Premier League. Manchester City is already out of the  Champions League, now focusing on the Premier League is a big problem for Arsenal, if they make any more mistakes in pursue for both titles, they might end up losing both.

This is gonna be the first time i write something like this but.... What a disaster season for the spanish football on european competitions (i know italian is way worse) we were super used to see the spanish teams reaching always the finals or the semifinals and now we are gonna see only one spanish teams in the two major european competitions and for surprises of everyone is Atletico MAdrid in UCL semifinals. Betis fail yesterday and Celta also in UEL.

I know Rayo is making history for them in Conference but Conference is very tiny so im not taking them into account.

I tend to believe Atletico more than I would want to believe Arsenal in this particular fixture, despite all of their known strength and capacity, Atletico appears more organised with strategic approach and a very solid winning mindset than Arsenal does actually and so I believe if they put in the effort and get the necessary support from the Spanish supporters, they will be seen in the finals and just like the Spanish supporters would like to do for Real Madrid or Barcelona, here is a chance for them to support their only hope in the champions league this season.

It's quite difficult to tell who's favourite in such a fixture, Arsenal is a peculiar team and have shown how much they intend to win an important title this season despite suffering so many descrepancies including injury problems that cost them a trophy. On the other hand, Atletico have have performed very well this season though have suffered a defeat in the hands of Arsenal yet remain a very formidable team that have what it takes to be in the final.

There's no way Arbeloa would keep his job, Perez won't even consider giving him a second chance cause he's done nothing to prove that he's capable of taking the team forward and win trophies, Real Madrid is on the verge of ending the season trophyless, although it's not really Arbeloa's fault cause he didn't start with them but he had the opportunity to do better but couldn't.
 
 It's so unfortunate that a season that seemed promising for Real Madrid has turned out to be one of their worst season in their history, they need to clean this mess by taking their time to appoint someone that's capable of restoring them to greatness once again.

That is your own opinion, because left for me, he is nowhere near excellent as you are saying, he was brought in to make the players happy, which he succeeded in doing, but when it comes to being competitive, they were not at the level required, because arbeloa who is the manager wouldn't want to offend anyone, that is the reason player like vinicius junior will always be  on the pitch consistently, even when he is having a bad game.
So as long as I am concerned, I see arbeloa like a ceremonial coach that doesn't have much say in the team, because their are group of players he wouldn't want to offend with his decisions, so am not surprised that this real madrid team went trophyless this season.

With such a big distance from Real Madrid and Barca, I don't think that they will be so aggressive to catch up, at most they will just maintain their current position and that will be enough to secure their position in the Champions League next season. their current focus is to face Arsenal in the semifinals because that is the most realistic for them to pursue at this time, if they can beat Arsenal in this semifinal, it means that they are getting closer to the Champions League trophy, and they will only face either Munich or PSG if one of them wins.

But that doesn’t mean Real will stop winning just because their chances of catching Barcelona are very low. Also judging from Arsenal's performance I can equally say they are not the favorite like non of them is the favorite, because the both teams is as desperate as one another for this trophy so I believe the better team will definitely win because if you ask me to predict who will emerge winning for this upcoming game I can't really tell, but I will still consider Atletico Madrid as the favorite left with me, I've got my reasons for saying this, in other words Atletico Madrid is winning the game, as Arsenal's attention will be divided into two Atletico Madrid will definitely take advantage of that.

On what basis do you say arbeloa is a excellent  manager? He has little experience. It doesn't seem like Mmadrid has become stronger with Arbeloa. If Madrid could have won la liga , we would have said arbeloa is a great coach. But it is not possible for madrid to win la liga . They are out of  the champions league. Madrid is not playing as well as they should  against strong teams. Arbeloa has had enough time to strengthen  the team. But he has not shown any positive changes.

Back to back trophyless season for Real Madrid, and Barcelona, they're yet to win the Champions League competition ever since they last won it with Luis Enrique.
At least, they have some bit of hope when it comes to winning a trophy. I mean winning the La Liga. They have to sell players and bring in significant players who can help them properly in the Champions League competition. Most importantly, the signature of an experienced centre back will do them a lot good.

I agree with you to a large extent. Arsenal have played so badly that they have qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions League but we cannot keep them ahead in terms of winning the trophy. Arsenal will have to face a tough opponent like Atletico Madrid because they have got a ticket to the semi-finals by beating the top team of La Liga, Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid are in the fourth position of the La Liga points table, have played so well and won the Champions League match against Barcelona and if they can maintain this performance, the chances of Arsenal winning the semi-finals will be very low.
