But I personally think that Atlético Madrid is preparing for a flawless performance in their upcoming match against Arsenal in the Champions League semifinals by maintaining their fitness levels so they can advance further. You're not wrong about the performance. One goal, from a penalty, total open-play creation was basically nonexistent. I concur with all that. The point where I disagree is that it matters.

Consider all the things that went awry in this one match. Two starters were hurt in the first half. One of the fans in the stands suffered a heart attack. The play was halted almost twenty minutes. You're underselling Garcia massively though. This man tore his meniscus in September, returned in November, and since then has been, arguably, the best keeper in the league. He is stopping goals at a pace that would make some of the other "top" keepers appear average in comparison. Should Barcelona win this title he will be due much more credit than he will ever receive.

On May 10th we have El Clasico. When both teams continue to win, the gap remains constant going in. Barcelo wins that game and the championship is literally sewn up at home against Madrid. And Madrid already said they will not do a guard of honor.

This is sounding like some really emotional stuff, but in football your emotions does no much for the team but for your bond, the fact still remains that the team is in their worse form currently and now making an inference about them does almost nothing to them because they may later get better and all of the inferences made earlier will hold no grounds on them.

As far as I know, Madrid game has often been like that they concede easily against underdogs but even so they still score plenty of goals. Because Madrid game has never been one that relies on dominating possession they always employ a fast-paced strategy without holding onto the ball too much. Furthermore, they have always had forwards with above average running speed. This is the difference between Madrid of the past and the current one. Now Madrid not only concedes goals easily against smaller teams, but they also struggle to score. This is very different from the Madrid of the past, which always managed to win big even when they conceded goals.

This isn't a matter of pitying the Madrid players and it's not that we're being mean by criticizing a team especially if it's a favorite. This is my way of showing my love so that our favorite team can improve and become stronger.

What people criticize about Madrid is true. They are a team full of stars and a great team, but two consecutive years without a trophy is certainly a major failure. This team is clearly in crisis including in terms of confidence. So, Madrid needs a major overhaul if they want to become stronger and they must accept all criticism as motivation to bounce back.

Sevilla's past performance against levante is very good. Previously, sevilla faced Levante in the 2020-21  and 21-22 seasons. And sevilla won all  4 matches. But this season, the scenario  is different. Sevilla is not in good form. Their performance is  very weak. Even in the home match against Levante, Sevilla lost by  a big margin of 3-0 .

Levante is playing at their home today. Naturally, Levante's players will be confident. If Sevilla cannot perform well,  they have no chance  of winning. Sevilla and levante are  both very weak teams.

These two teams are  fighting to stay away from the relegation zone. And the match is equally important for both. If levante can win  3/4 matches, then the team will be able to get out of the  relegation zone. The team will make the maximum effort to win against Sevilla

I see Atletico Madrid more desperate in the Champions League that they don't give much attention to Laliga but on a second thought, if you look at what they planned in the game against Elche that didn't favour them. It was a risk that didn't favour them but it is worth it. They had 2 goals while Elche has 3, the difference is 1 and that's how they couldn't win again but it still better, they can participate in the semi final with their main players and be ready.

You know it's a good thing here if they win Arsenal, they don't have to worry about any again but the final. We all know final matches are unpredictable and we don't know what Simeone may have on his mind. What if with this move they end up winning the Champions League, don't you think it's going to be a slap on Real Madrid and Barcelona that have been the head of the league and are already removed, this might be what is in there mind, to win the Champions League.

No matter how much efforts Real Madrid may put in at this point it still wouldn't change the fact that Barcelona can't be dethroned from the top, Real Madrid had already jeopardize their chances of winning the La'liga after failing to maintain consistency especially when Barcelona gave them the opportunity to take the lead, the Barcelona side are fully aware of what's at stake and they can't afford to loose any point because this could be very detrimental at this critical time.

While I do agree that teams should focus on UCL if they can, even for a small chance to win, and after putting all your focus there, only stop when you lose and then you can go back and focus on the league. But even that doesn't mean that you should lose 12 points in 4 games, a 4 game in a row losing streak, that is horrible for a team at that level.

A team that is top four, should not lose four games in a row, that is humiliating and terrible. Atletico Madrid could have just gotten 2 draws out of 4 games, still lose the other two, and they would have been equal points. Or if they just won two of them, they could have still lost the other two and they would have been third. It's really a shame to see them literally do not give a damn about the league anymore.
