what are our expectations of him? he’s been in la liga for two seasons now, and his stats make him the best in the league. but he hasn’t won many trophies with real madrid. it looks like this season will be another one where he comes up empty handed.

i’d say real madrid was the more comfortable team in the first half, but real betis also created a few chances toward the end of the first half. i don’t think we can say for sure that real madrid will win, but the next goal will significantly change the course of the match. madrid has already screwed up in the league, so it doesn't matter that much.

I can probably said that this season is the last season for Arbeloa to coach real madrid. I don't think he can continue with madrid next season because how the players are playing is always very poor in the pitch.

Madrid have miss alot of chances to make them score more goals and Lunin as try for madrid tonight if not because of him I think madrid should have lost the game and not even getting a draw game tonight. I didn’t expect Real Betis to win against Real Madrid or even get a draw from today’s fixture. For me, all of this is on Perez. He simply shouldn’t have sacked Alonso. I’ve said it a hundred times and i’ll say it again ,  you can’t change a coach at a club this big and demanding without having a proper replacement ready. Arbeloa isn’t bad, but he just doesn’t have the experience yet. These players are big stars, and it feels like individual quality matters more to them than the club itself. Back in the day, you knew what it meant to step onto the pitch for Real Madrid and the level of respect that came with it. This draw is just more proof of the mistake the board made by letting Alonso go. As for Barcelona, i’m pretty sure they’ll win the league. If they were still playing in the UCL, you might expect a drop in form, but like this , fully focused , they should be able to finish the season without too many problems

Real Betis eventually had the equalizer by the last minutes of the additional time in the match. Very embarrassing that Real Madrid could not get pass this guys with all three points after scoring their early goal by Vinicius junior in the 17th minutes of the first half.

Madrid is not looking any better in spite of the sack of Alonso who was clocked to be the problem of the team not performing fine. Even with Arbeloa nothing interesting is happening with the Madrid team. Barcelona fans will be smiling at this scores with their club championship looking sure already.

This result changes a lot because if Barcelona wins their game tomorrow against Getafe, who are in 6th place in the table, then we would be talking about an 11-point advantage over Real Madrid. That would be very humiliating because another Real Madrid defeat and a Barcelona victory would leave Barcelona 14 points ahead of Real Madrid, and winning the title with a 14-point advantage over second place is very humiliating and would only show that Real Madrid hasn't done anything this season.

Losing the title is one thing, but losing it in a very humiliating way is another. If they had won today and reduced the points gap, then they could lose the title with pride, knowing that at least they tried to catch Barcelona and that's why the points advantage wasn't so great. Absolutely between the two competitions the prestigious one is UCL, in my opinion the chances even if low to win the UCL for them are there, i wouldn't mind.

There's no doubt about it, things are always like this, that's why when they play in the UCL it's like the players enter another phase, where their skills are sharpened and they start doing everything with more strength, better, with more desire, because the Champions League trophy is unique, it carries a lot of prestige, being the best in Europe is not just anything that can be obtained, it's the best against the best, that's why Atlético is perhaps saving everything for these UCL matches, they are very eager to win it.
