We need a movie about Bitcoin

I am more interested in what genre this movie would be. It is definitely not going to be an educational or discovery like movie. Because only few people, or those that already know what cryptocurrency is will watch it. If it going to be an action movie, then Bitcoin will be something that bad guys will steal, or use, or it will be used for someone to become rich, making a lot of people poor. In general Bitcoin in the movie will be shows in a negative key. And overall impression on Bitcoin will be bad. Do we really need that reputation for Bitcoin?

There will certainly be a movie about Bitcoin at sometime in the future. It is already made such a big impact on everyone, that that fact is inevitable. The question is when will it happen, and will the production quality be good enough? Will people be interested, or will it have bad acting, hopefully it is a smash hit, so even more people invest in BTC.

Actually, before bitcoin was famous like this, there was a film that told a story similar to cryptocurrency, blockchain, but I forgot the title. but unfortunately movies were made before bitcoin was famous, so few people realized it too late, and understood what it meant after they became bitcoiners. if such a film exists for now, then I think it will be educational for many people

I would rather see a Bitcoin movie that promotes positivity rather than those movies who are using or referencing BTC for crimes, theft, violence, money laundering, etc. There’s one existing movie called “Crypto” starring Russell Crowe and I don’t like it to be honest as it promotes crypto in a bad way. A Bitcoin documentary promoting positivity about this coin should be also great!

I remember four years ago when a project was launched asking to get funded through ICO, the team were asking to get funded so they can create a movie about Bitcoin which will star prominent actors and actresses, but the project was a big failure because they cannot present their identity and their credentials in making a movie, they cannot even present their past movie projects.

Now it's 2019 and so many things happen in Cryptocurrency, the news is everywhere and it becomes very popular on four corners of the world.
Don't you think these big production company like Warner Bros, Universal and Netflix should do a movie about Bitcoin?

Not really a documentary, but any kind of genre, like action, horror, comedy I think if the story and the plot is good, it could make a box office

IMO a movie about bitcoin is important and the storyline has to be about how to buy bitcoin from the start, when it's released then surely the price of bitcoin will go up and fud about bitcoin will no longer be effective.

Well this could be a documentary genre movie but bitcoin as a action I just don't get it.
Although it will be easy to gain massive Attraction by general people. Everyone can learn about block chain and it's security. In my country many mobile banking system they are trying very hard to get reached every generals people's.

I think this is the best time to do a movie on this it could be a short play on the economic and political struggle Bitcoin has experienced in the few months. Maybe starting from it's origination that's where it all began then advancing to the success it achieved stating the various level it reached and it's all time high(ATH) then the recent challenges facing Bitcoin and possibly the future prediction for Bitcoin. I guess it would be a wonder play if professional actors and actresses take part in this

From a movie point of view what would be crucial is the storyline.

How is the director going to portray Bitcoin? If one movies is made, another is banned to happen and there might a mix of the two ends. Either way, the light in which the story will be told will play a major role - we'll just have to wait and see what that storyline is going to be

Why giant companies like Tesla, MicroStrategy are motivated to invest huge amounts of money in Bitcoin, how they have made a profit from it, should also be included in the movie. In some countries there has been a continuous lockdown for almost a year, I think this incident was a tragedy for them. Bitcoin was the only source of livelihood for thousands of unemployed people during the long lockdown in Covid-19. It doesn't take long for a movie to become a blockbuster with all this content. It is true that the negative side is propagated more, the positive side is hidden by everyone.

This will be a great idea and I like it more if it is a documentary. And the story goes by having not just only one main character or star, but at least 5 to 10 individuals and their different roles or encounter to bitcoin. Like for example, one which is a developer, another an investor, researcher, trader, student and etc. and all of them narrating their stories and involvement in bitcoin to how it changes or affect their lives.  This is just my idea.  

This kind of movie will probably hit specially if it will be aired in Netflix. People who are not very much familiar to bitcoin will now probably have an insights on how it really feels like to become one of the people investing in bitcoin. This kind of thing will make a very big change in the crypto world.

obviously to increase people understand more about bitcoin so that it can attract them to invest their funds in bitcoin is the main goal of all the information that can be provided, maybe one of them is from a film that doesn't just tell about knowledge about bitcoin but adds certain tricks so that it can be watched like a movie others but there is an implicit education in it.

I think Bitcoin is a crime based platform. It's not a documentary based any director and producer i think not interested on it. in my opinion its not possible we seen Bitcoin name last time in deadpool Hollywood movie.

Maybe one day there will be a film about crypto or bitcoin like other films that are made according to the reality that is happening and worldwide, but I prefer the story is made from the beginning of bitcoin's initial journey to become popular including the pros and cons between countries and the reasons.
although there are negative things it must be explained that it is not good and there will be more positive things and good benefits for those who use it, because in the film there must be good and bad roles to make it more interesting and but good things will dominate and it all depends on the story made and as much as possible the audience understands the purpose of the film's story and the function of the goodness of bitcoin.

Making movie about Bitcoin is a good idea. But it is very difficult to make a movie on Bitcoin.
Ads on social media platforms are the best way to promote it. Because millions of users are actively using social media so they see this ads and use this currency.

When it comes to movies having bitcoin or cryptos for its measure theme with the idea of showcasing it on most plot, it becomes a difficult situation as there are very few ways the movie can go or as I can imagine it now.

One of the ways would have come from a documentary about it, which would have been centered on the pseudomonous figure Satoshi Nakamoto but, you shouldn't or can't center a documentary on fiction. Besides, anonymity is part of the field!

Another thing is this, bitcoin comes without most excitements that most movies would have and aside from it being wused as a medium of payment, what next could be said of it. You can't be paying bills or buying and selling in every scene of the movie. That still won't make the bitcoin so pronounced.

It will be really good to have a movie that is focused on bitcoin. And if it will A list actors on it with good directors and a good story, then it’s going to go a long way in promoting in bitcoin. They can just write a story on bitcoin, maybe something that has to do with action, like people going to retrieve bitcoin keys that is lost or something like that. Just like this old movie that’s called Tomb Raider that features Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft, and another movie is Money Heist that is featured on Netflix .

All those movies are really interesting. So imagine a movie like that is focused on bitcoin, and then it eventually blows up and selling in high numbers, that’s going to push bitcoin to a really high level.

Where a guy works in a big firm and gets to know about cryptocurrencies by a shopkeeper who started using bitcoin told the guy "it's the future"
Where this guy worked in a huge firm and his father was a farmer.

In any case, i wasn't able to watch the full film because it started well then became boring so I stopped watching I don't even remember the name of this film..
