We need a movie about Bitcoin

Its sounds interesting but i remember  i watched  some movie thriller on TV few months ago and  the movie was  about bitcoin and  cryptocurrency stuff.  but l am looking forward to  see allot of movies  about bitcoin , like they are spending bitcoin , hacking exchanges movies characters traveling across the world  having fun using bitcoin. like they  gambling using bitcoin like even seeing character  playing prostitute rule  accepting bitcoin as payment.

Although it is ridiculous it can be. This would be a good documentary, and through this, Bitcoin became widely known. However, the movie will have to be in Hollywood style. Then people around the world will be able to watch it.

I think the world is not ready for exactly Hollywood movie about bitcoin. I mean there is too few people will be watching it, so no profit for big production and no reason for them to make such movie. But we already have lots of shows, documentary movies about crypto, and in every second series bitcoin is mentioned. Of course it is not enough, but at least something.

What we need is for Dan Brown to write a book about bitcoin and Tom Hanks to star in the file of it.

You should go and watch The rise and rise of Bitcoin. Its a nice documentary with most of the important people involved into it and actually you have a lot of things to learn from it. I remember I watch it back in 2014 as soon as it went online and I was very surprising about it and I even reassemble myself on some of positions , like when he had the miners come and he had to find a way to plugged them in and get them to work , also as soon as he walks away , they start to fall off and I remember calling my girl after I was out for work telling do this , do that , start that , check this ) it was funny , I tell you that.

Personally I'm waiting another Bitcoin documentary but recently I saw The Hustle of China , which is a good examples how China approach the American market and vice-versa so I would recommend you to watch this too.

We already have movies about bitcoin and cryptocurrency. But some just doesn't know even the users because the problem here is the lack of promotion. If they just promote the movie very well, it'll give chance for cryptocurrency to be publicized. In addition to that, some movies just like crypto (2019) only shows and tackle about the negativity of crypto. How they used it for money laundering which is not a good way to promote crypto to the public.

We need better movies that would show the use of crypto plus a good promotion and plot

I just watched a movie about cryptocurrency with a title CRYPTO.
The movie was about the money laundering using cryptocurrency especially BITCOIN.
I dont like the movie story and the way they use crypto on it.

Every human being knows the word bitcoin. It has been in the social media mentioned, so this is the main source of the popularity of bitcoin. When you scroll in your Facebook suddenly you see a suggested post about Bitcoin and some people will click on it.Nowdays understanding Bitcoin is considered to be extremly difficult. They think that you should have a degree in finance or computer science to get into Blockchain and Bitcoin. It is not very difficult and youtuber have made tutorials for this. People should understand that Bitcoin is the future and its advantages will increase its value. Posting articles about Bitcoin in the social media will be more useful than a movie. Am I right?

there have been several films about bitcoin, in 2014 there were documentaries, in 2015 there were action films about bitcoin theft, and in 2019 a film called crypto appeared that told about money laundering,
a few more years I am sure crypto will be used and introduced, and of course it will make the story more interesting because of the uniqueness of bitcoin.

there are scenes in tv series that BTC is being discussed for few seconds and these like in the LODGE 49 season2, and because i like this series i watch it all the time. the dialogue however isn't' that much. there is also a tv series like ATYPICAL in netflix which discussed cryptocurrency.  there were movies but not particularly intended for BTC, if we want a movie for that the community should fund it or probably Roger Ver and the twins can fund it and then product placement in the movie like their Gemini exchange.

I remember four years ago when a project was launched asking to get funded through ICO, the team were asking to get funded so they can create a movie about Bitcoin which will star prominent actors and actresses, but the project was a big failure because they cannot present their identity and their credentials in making a movie, they cannot even present their past movie projects.

Now it's 2019 and so many things happen in Cryptocurrency, the news is everywhere and it becomes very popular on four corners of the world.
Don't you think these big production company like Warner Bros, Universal and Netflix should do a movie about Bitcoin?

Not really a documentary, but any kind of genre, like action, horror, comedy I think if the story and the plot is good, it could make a box office

The idea is great and it will surely create a big exposure about bitcoin especially if it will be aired worldwide. Action with a little comedy genre is the best for this so many will like the movie and it will not be forgotten easily.

The bitcoin became more and more popular, if someone will fund the project to create a movie then I am sure that it will happen as long as the movie will be made in the country that legalize or accepts crypto currencies so there will be no problem in making the movie.

That's a really good idea. I think it needs a lot of promotion for that to happen but if there is a big personality that will endorse bitcoin to have a movie then I think there's a big possibility for that to happen. If you remember the movie about bitcoin and the dark web. I guess that was "the silkroad" movie. But usually as what I have seen Bitcoin is in illegal transactions.

As a movie fan, a lot must be taken into in making a movie, we are here talking about blockchain technology, so it's certainly not far from the act of hacking with a fighting spice, can also be added to the mystery. Here the problem is the understanding of the audience towards cryptocurrency, moreover there are still many who do not understand very well the benefits of cryptocurrency. Movies where the actors or actresses shows that they are using bitcoin to buy items or purchase valuable properties using bitcoin would be a nice idea also.

I mean in such little way, people will get curious "what is Bitcoin" and they will search for it.

The term bitcoin is already appeared even in the horror films, but I see, the implication of the currency depicted seems not so promising. So, the idea is to promote bitcoin in a way that people will recognize it as a useful currency, or something that can change the life of the actor who is using bitcoin in his everyday life. In that case, it can induce market adoption through touching the heart of the viewers.

I think there is already a movie about bitcoin, but I can't recall the title of the movie, but I watch it (may be Banking On Bitcoin), movie/ documentary. They explain how who when bitcoin is created, interviewing some ppl that may be related to Satoshi Nakamoto, what is the capability and ability of bitcoin and also why the government sectors want to close or prohibit bitcoin. Also, I notice to the video this forum that this the way how Satoshi reply, interacts with the ppl that support bitcoin in the first place. The movie has so many contents, and this is very helpful to some newcomers and new knowledge about the history of bitcoin.

It seems to me that humanity learns a lot more about cryptocurrency from the media than from feature films that mention cryptocurrency.  The fact is that in the plots of many films cryptocurrency is only superficially affected, so you cannot get at least some knowledge about activities on the cryptocurrency market or about cryptocurrency in general.  Most likely, you need to watch specialized videos to get a certain amount of knowledge about cryptocurrency.  At least the films and series I have watched so far have not brought me anything new.

I think having a bitcoin movie would be really great for more people will start to get interested in buying their own bitcoin and to further explain to them on what bitcoin is really is. But there will be also other people who will still don't believe in bitcoin because they think that bitcoin and cryptocurrency is all about scams and fraud, which is not all true, that is why creating a movie is a great suggestions for them to change their perspective about bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
