Agree, that reason is very promising in the future ethereum will hit a high value, but to hit $4000 in a year I'm not sure that will happen, despite a benchmark of what happens to bitcoin because it reduces in half, at least ethereum will do a long resistance, because when bitcoin is still very influencing market movements it will be difficult for ethereum to move on its own to reach the highest value.

Don't expect high value for this coin because it has been so expensive in the past that it will be difficult to repeat again. All investors just want ETH to have a good recovery and hope that I can see the price of $400 by the end of this year because this is the price that will probably satisfy investors. Currently there is a lot of big news regarding this coin and that will probably directly affect the price of Ethereum in the near future.

$4000 is a bit too high for me, I don't think that we'll even see that price even after the Ethereum 2.0 or shift to PoS. I'm more conservative this time although some news happens to be good but I don't think those reasons are enough to say.

Don't speculate too high price because this will give too much hope and expectation for those ethereum holders too. And sometimes because of that, they really think that the price would be reached as soon as possible and if they found themselves broke, the person who gave the prediction will be blamed by them.

Through my experience in the markets I have learnt that altcoins stand NO CHANCE to get to ATH if Bitcoin doesn't fly away first. It is obvious that everytime you say crypto the first thought that pops up in someone's mind is Bitcoin, NOT Ethereum, Cardano or any of those fancy names. I'm sorry but that's the cold truth. I wouldn't be surprised if ETH would reach $4000 as by that time Bitcoin would be at least at $100k.

The chance to rise to that level still achievable once big investors begin to invest and attract more newcomers to ride with it. There's a lots of opinions about this matter but facts remain, that the market still relied with how users will act and how investors to entrust their money inside this project. keep in mind when btc goes down altcoin comes down and when btc goes up altccoin tries to go up, so in my opinion it requires a higher increase than ATH bitcoin last time in 2017 where eth reached 1.3k $.
and also ETH does not have scalability which is important enough to provide automatic capability when the load increases due to the large number of transactions, or other problems.

I cant say more about the ETH2.0 upgrade but the POS implementation will make it worthwhile,the reason why i invested in some POS coins is to use the gains to sustain and get many daily needs till the day when holding them will pay off big,the POS will make many investors want to hold ETH for long term ultimately will leads to more adoption

While your arguments are not wrong I do not see how this will make the price of ethereum to go up and reach 4000 dollars for each coin, have you seen the price of ethereum lately? It has problems surpassing 200 dollars and maintain it, some days ago it seemed like ethereum was getting ready for a small recovery and then suddenly the price crashed more than 20% in a matter of hours, so while I would like to believe your predictions the reality indicates otherwise.

ICO has indeed been one of the causes of high ETH prices in 2017. But, because most ETH token holders are ICO founders, when they sell their ETH, dumps are inevitable and make the ETH position as it is today.

Although i agree with you on the fact that ETH value will surely rise because of it's fundamentals (and because it's Vitalik, come on), the fact that they've been saying they will go to proof-of-stake or ETH2.0 for 3 years now is quite disturbing. Delay after delay with slow progress. The progress to $4000 may take longer than 2021 i'm afraid.

Even if ETH increases by 10% per day, it will take alteast 74 days for it to reach $4000. It is complete stupidity to expect ETH to reach $4000 for next 1 year, atleast. Bitcoin has shown us in past that miracle is possible in crypto market. It rose like 4-5 times in 2017 but for ETH to reach $4000, it has to increase by 20 times which is too much ask for a coin which is currently facing constant fall.

If these are the two reasons you think the price would reached $4k then you would have to wait long. How many projects in the space are not trying new things and the second point, the POS reward, what is the annual return on investment, this is very important. There are reasons why people are not staking their tokens in most of these POS projects because the return do not worth it

As we know that alts are tied to Bitcoin and I personally think that ETH is worth about $4000, Bitcoin needs to cost about $100k.

That is a more realistic prediction, ethereum could be able to reach a price of 400 or 500 dollars without too much of a problem, but there are some that have false expectations out of it and anything that is higher than the all time high seems to be out of the question for ethereum right now, but even if ethereum only went as far as you predict that will still mean a 100% to 150% margin of profits and that is not small at all taking into account the profits that bitcoin already gave during this year.
