SCAM ICOs, what we can do?

Old ICOs have scammed and the owners have gone with the wind. It is almost impossible to track them not to talk of apprehending them and bringing them to book. What we can do now is to educate new investors about the dangers of participating in ICOs, IEOs and STOs as there is no guarantee on their investments

Education is really importnat , to prevent  people from falling for the scams in the first place. STOs when conducted in a regulated environment can offer some protection to investors. IEO thrive on the strength and reputation of the exchange, the rigorous process of screening can eliminate some scams

Though your suggestion is real and everyone should do it before investing in any project. But this thread was different. The OP was saying many post-ICO have been scammed nowadays. Those ICOs were real and successful but still, they become dead coin or scam!

If someone wants not to be a victim anymore of these ICO projects, better not to invest on them anymore. Better invest your portfolio in btc or eth or other altcoins that have been existing in the market for so long. At least you are sure that your coin has a market no matter what.

Is there anything what we can do to punish them? More than 2 years ICOs are scamming us and still people are investing, is this really a world what we want to create?

I think you was missed so many good project like SERO, FERRUM network and TEMTUM project. Using more time in research you will earn more experience. This project was finished, also running some good project.

There are ICO projects that start from the beginning plan to deceive investors, there are projects that do not develop so that the developer runs away and disappears without clarity so that it becomes a scam. Being stuck in an ICO is a risk, I've experienced that too. At first, the project looked promising, but after a long time passed, there was no progress from the planned roadmap. The price of the token does not increase, it is worthless. I lost 85%. There is not much we can do, we can only be more vigilant, blacklist the scam team developers, and warn others if they make another new project.

there are so many scam ICO's in the past months due to the reason which the project can run the funds of it and we cant do much nothing about it . The only thing we can suggest is blacklist those kind of projects right now and also checking every details to those who are running ICO if you want to participate on the project.

I agree with you, IEO has killed ICO slowly.
although there are still ICOs at this time investors are not interested in joining ICO. Just look at some of the extended ICO projects but IEO was successful in a short time especially IEO binance.

Yeah ieo seems to be more legit than ico even though not 100% guarantee, there are still risk involved but a lot less risky than what ico's gradually turned out to be, the attention has shifted greatly from ico to ieo, only few projects still conduct ico and they hardly have investors to fund their project.

The best investors can do for themselves is to be very selective, by this I mean they should do lots of research before participating in any initial exchange offering or ICO , this will help reduce the amount of scam project they invest in else I don't think anything can be done.

I unfortunately don't think there is anything to we can do to punish. I think, all we can do is that we have to do some serious research before joining any ICO. And we should only join the ICOs we trust for sure. In this way, perhaps we can reduce the number of scam ICO in the market.

Until now, scam ico's are still exist and making more projects... for me all I can do is observing their project for months before I invest an amount.. this is not that effective than you thoughts but it will help you to know more the project you want.. promising projects are everywhere. choose the one that it won't regret you at the end.. grow with this, it will help you.

High chance of losing our money even if we invest on the ICO with good idea and team for various reasons that is why ICOs are getting worse as an investment and you will be having hard time at making profits from it.

This is a sign of the death of the bounty in this forum, just look at IEO does not require a bounty hunter.

Investing in new projects is basically speculation. It could be that the new project is a good project but it could also be a scam project. There are still many people who invest in ICO because of the potential benefits and bonuses, but now the trend has shifted to IEO which in my opinion is safer than ICO

what if when you have observed they have not been a scam, but when ICO is finished they suddenly scam?
this often happens, even though the team looks real.
Wouldn't it be better to choose IEO, because ICO is now very risky, and even the demand is also small, this will increase the likelihood of ICO failing because it is rarely interested in, and ultimately Scam.

Better invest your money on IEO have listed on Binance because have big chance to get profit than you have keep investing your money on ICO or other IEO listed except binance.
