SCAM ICOs, what we can do?

Hi, recently so many past-ICOs turned into a scam or a deadcoin.
Is there anything what we can do to punish them? More than 2 years ICOs are scamming us and still people are investing, is this really a world what we want to create?

at present there are very many ICOs that have deceived investors but there is nothing an investor can do to punish these frauds. This is a cryptocurency that has a high risk for investors and the risk is losing assets, so now there are few investors who dare to take the decision to invest in new altcoin. so many current projects fail. and all this is caused by fraudsters or scammers.

If we could do something, we would have done it long ago. Therefore, we can only improve our knowledge and security in order not to get caught by scammers.

Each knowledge can be learned while you are inside this industry, many people still keep failing as they forget how to manage researching and reviewing before participating and supporting scammed projects. Enhancing your chances by sorting every new created projects, there's no need to hurry as most of the time it causes misjudgment and put your investment to a big risk.

it is true that many investors have been traumatized by various types of fraud like that but I feel that fundraising like that might still be possible but with different methods and can provide high confidence in investors such as through IEO at a trusted exchange such as the Binance exchange or other.

We don't need to do anything with them just we need to be careful and choose the write project value planning to to investor participate on their bounty project.
There are separate board and some DT members in this forum trying to create awareness among the forum users to stay away from the scammers.

I still believe that this forum needs to do more about the scam projects. If Bitcointalk refuses to list their ANN thread, then they won't be able to attract any investment from the users. But as per the current circumstances, almost anyone (even a junior member) can start an ANN thread in this forum. IMO, we should make it mandatory to have escrow, partial bounty payments in ETH/BTC, if anyone wants to post an ANN thread.

I do not now care to ICOs anymore. I told myself before that I will stop patronizing it because of the high risks. Right now, I do not see ICOs that are becoming successful in the market. Analysts and economists do not see ICOs preferable investment anymore. It is better to trade coins that are listed in exchange than to patronize projects like ICOs. Avoiding it can help us to save more money as well as protecting our funds.

Yes, and one thing we can really do not get caught by scammers is to avoid unclear projects or programs, because scammers always build projects or programs that are not good for getting new victims.

I think if we will just unite and can create a team that will mark the ICOs and their team. Regulating the ICOs is not a bad idea. Not all unsuccessful project means it is a scam. Some investors just don't support the project. I think we need to evaluate them differently.

Sad truth is that we cannot control the SCAM ICO as well as IEO but can always control ourselves from not getting involve with them, let's help ourselves in learning from those staff to stay away from them, so for me better  to have a deeper understanding regarding all projects that we wanted to invest before we fully trust them.

I think we could easily charge them since it was against the law a lot of ICO's are just small company probably about 15 people only and just using their laptop they probably don't even have an office if they are already planning a scam ICO surely all of the details and locations are just all fakes even picture just comes from the internet. But the thing is the investment came from all over the world and if you are from other countries if it almost impossible to charge them or else it is going to be expensive and surely they are hard to find. This is the reason why ICO's advertisement get banned on facebook since a lot of them are just scam. I think we cannot do anything from them since we don't have any international law or anything on the internet what we could do is just warn the investors if we know some project is a scam.

You know, it's a sad fact and we can't punish or do anything to those scammers.
Because this is a decentralized market, projects without legal documents are still being implemented and investors are still not protected.
That's why we should really have investment knowledge and should invest in a group. It will reduce the risk of investing in fraudulent projects.

You are partially wrong, we can do something as a punishment to them. Some members are doing that on Scam Acussations board, they were tracking and adding the IP address, Phone number, Image and else as their blacklist. So once they find something fishy, they post it there and explain everything about the fake project which prevents us from getting scammed.
we too can help the others by doing a little research about a new project and report it if you find it fishy, the law is unreachable at this moment even though it is not impossible.

oh, because of that scammers are getting what they wanted for stealing investors' money and wasting the time of the bounty hunters.

The whole problem of the ico companies market was that the projects were either fraudulent or with weak prospects, which depended more on the professionalism of the team.  Not only investors tried to earn a lot of money by investing in ico companies, but project developers sought to get huge benefits from new projects.  Based on this, only a thorough analysis can predict the real results of our investments, but today all this activity is practically similar to a game of chance.

with a bad ICO reputation, and many investors have become their prey, it's no wonder investors now penalize not investing in ICOs, so they die of their own accord. luckily there is still a safer IEO, so most of them turn to IEO, and some believe more in the top coins, bitcoin

I think people are not invest in ICO, people are now alert for investment funds in ICO, Now trending is IEO And STO, But big think is scam is everywhere not even ICO, before invest in IEO check everything, That's we do.

All it does matter is how or what we can do in ourselves to screen those scam ICOs. We can be a little more open to the projects what it may bring to us especially their project as understanding their whole program, product or service that they were trying to do and the most important thing is the members or the team if they are reliable enough for you to believe into them.

That may sound as if we are giving up but we are only recognizing the truth, there is nothing we can do about it because it is a problem way bigger than ourselves, the only solutions that we can implement are individual ones, each person has to decide for themselves what it is the best for them, and if they are fine accepting the huge risk of investing in a scam ico then so be it, but if a person decides that investing in such market is taking a risk that he is not willing to accept then that is fine too.

relying on the whitepaper alone is likely to remain difficult, it all depends on the CEO and the team itself, what we need to do is be careful, don't invest too much money, of course it's very risky
