Well.. major exchanges such as Binance do have a very tough screening criteria for new IEOs. But at the same time, the investor is advised to do his part of analysis and research. At the time of the IEO, the project may be having solid fundamentals and plans. But what will happen, if the promoters vanish with all the money that is collected during the IEO process? In such cases, even the screening by exchanges won't work.

I never encourage others to invest in ICO because these are all high-risk projects and will only make you lose money if you choose to invest. Out of a hundred ICO projects, only 1 ICO project can bring you profit, and it is best to stay away from when that project conducts an ICO. I think now IEO is a promising option for investors and do not need to wait long to make a profit.

Truly the number of scam ICOs has increased exponentially over the years, sadly since decentralization is the core of the blockchain ecosystem, the idea of regulation cannot be welcomed. However, I suggest the implementation of a certain guideline for ICO, especially for utility tokens. Say, the utility token should be for an already existing product with a clearly defined market-base. But that would be me suggesting some form of regulation. I think it boils down to investors; protect yourself and your capital.

many projects have already done that. some have even published successes in sales but in reality, they have disappeared and their tokens have only become rubbish.

When i received scamming news those projects then i keep leave quickly and i recommend my all friends for never investing. Actually people do not want trust ICOs in this time so it would be like better chance for investing IEO, which like binance with top exchange.

I'm sure, when they made the first ICO and it's goes successfully collected investors money, one or more from their team will addicted to create another project. But this time, they will scam you. They will make a fake project or abandoned their current project after collecting investors money. So Be careful.

I don't really have faith in the ICO yet. They are like a trap, without any guarantee to us. The one that makes me most confident right now is probably IEO because they are partly selected by exchanges. I am also really impressed by the current IEOs like the xDai (Stake) project or Just token (JST). They bring me a lot of profits.

That is if they still exist. I cannot remember the last I saw a project called ICO. Most of the now go for IEO, Crowdfunding and the likes. There are some that get grants to develop their projects and list on exchnage, without raising any initial fund from investors. Some also do a private sale, where they get private investors who are interested in the project.
Whatever form it takes, I still feel we should do our research before investing in any of the projects.

this is the reason why you have to evaluate not only the reputation of the exchange but the project itself, that is if you really want to invest in IEOs. assess the capability of the team if they can truly implement their objectives. because some of the projects will present a very attractive concept and comprehensive whitepaper but it is only to entice potential investors, but in reality, they are here to collect some funds for their own pockets. i guess we have seen a lot of projects like that, great concept, professional team, good whitepaper/roadmap but in the end, they just ran away with investors' funds.

especially for ICO. the IEO project also needs to research the project or platform template they do sales. even in exchange for big names, we must remain rigorous in analyzing projects.

Any form of fraud violations in IEO must be eliminated, the absence of rules so that many IEO have been produced just to steal investor funds. In the future, it is expected that the project team must go through verification and be willing to accept risks if they commit fraud to investors in any way.

Have you ever wondered why shady ICOs continue to attract investment, despite the negative mood prevailing in the market for the past couple of years? My guess is that a large part of the investment directed towards these projects come from questionable sources. The investors may be trying to wash their coins, to avoid detection by the authorities.
