SCAM ICOs, what we can do?

especially for ICO. the IEO project also needs to research the project or platform template they do sales. even in exchange for big names, we must remain rigorous in analyzing projects.

I trust more such projects that make their IEO on the Binance exchange. Obviously, this is because I understand that the exchange team is responsible for choosing a project for IEO. And for the most part, all the IEO that were on Binance gave a good profit to their investors.

in fact, they could have been sued but there is no legal basis for dealing with ICO or cryptocurrency scams, because before we already knew that crypto investment is a very high risk both in scams and losing the money we have.

There was a legal basis for investors to sued the scam icos because they have already offered illegal security token with so many bullshit promise. You must try to take a look at the latest case and the coin called bitclave has already sued by SEC.

ICOs scam many people in 2017 and 2018 and I'm sure many have learnt their lessons, I'm sure by now people don't trust ICO projects anymore, instead they invest in IEO projects that goes on top exchanges only, IEO gives no room to scam projects unless you join IEO on exchanges like p2pb2b or vindax

I believe that no one will participate in the ICO right now. People will only focus on bitcoin and the top altcoins, and they will also be interested in IEO at major exchanges in this market. But IEO is no longer able to keep the hype as it used to, too few IEO appear at the current stage.

But as long as you know how to determine on which project are legit or not you are safe from the scam

Determining the legit project is something that is impossible. We all know that all projects are showing that they are all legit and we can only determine their real intent once they made even the slightest mistake or some people finds a suspiscious information about the project.
Also, I disagree with your statement that there are still some legit ico, as far as I know, ico is already dead and no one is interested on it.

Back in the days there are lots of scam icos bounty campaigns i did joined and all time wasted for my efforts and also felt sorry for investors that got scammed. I haven't seen people or individuals got punished of this that's why they got lots of nerves scamming people all over again and again. Good thing IEOs now are on trend, it gives more assurance that crypto projects are legit and gives more trust as well. especially if top tier exchanges are conducting the IEOs. I believe in karma, so scammers will be dealt according to their own time and get what they deserved.

It's really hard to track people online especially if they use tools to mask their ip/identity and that can be hard to track if there are no clues, i think the only way for them to get caught is when they're exchanging tokens to fiat, with the right regulation we can catch them.

This may seem far-fetched, but I would agree with CashbackLover. But then, I am not that excited about the IEOs as well. When the IEOs started getting listed in Binance and Huobi, they were giving very good returns to anyone investing in them. But nowadays, the proportion of IEOs giving good returns are going down. And there are a large number which goes down by as much as 90% in a month.

The IEO project that you mentioned in big exchanges is difficult for us to meet every month because on average the IEO is now in low exchange so many don't invest.
ICO is almost every day scattered so there are a lot of scamer that happens everywhere.
Anyway, you have to be prepared for money when there is a big project in Binance.

Is there anything what we can do to punish them? More than 2 years ICOs are scamming us and still people are investing, is this really a world what we want to create?

They really need to bring back what ICO's are all about and how it will benefit in crypto world as many new projects will emerge that will trusted by investors. Many of us want to bring back these time when ICO really benefit us all but in the other hand, they also need to be trusted. To launch in respected exchange and have a good project team and products of course. I think we just need to continue to promote crypto currency and with that new legitimate projects will make a comeback again.

I strongly recommend investing in other cryptocurrencies that already have big names like BTC or ETH

That is a clever idea, I mean settle in those coins that are already in market and has been producing their products and services rather than hoping to a start ups projects which is 50/50 in making it a successful one or even less. Most of the projects now a days don't really live up to the hype or some of them might have a good run but  eventually fell off and have not been able to recover.
