There are too many altcoins in the system and that is the reason why choosing the good ones usually becomes a challenge for investors. So to play it safe, invest in projects with real working product so that it can serve as a backbone for the coin and maintain its value

Hey dude it's not about choosing but this time even holding the best altcoin and bring you a big lost for sure. The speculation market is a very volatile that everyone doesn't know about the market direction will be.
it can be pumped or dumped everytime.
We are entering the market at the big risk when each of coin is worth a lot of money and when it got dumped by the big whales and it can plunged instantly.

My candid advise is to trade with the five senses intact and not with emotions. Don't get on some shitcoins with the intention to hold for years else you might get rekt.

You cannot just say generic statements such as HODLing will bring you profit or its opposite HODLing will get you rekt. Getting rekt or getting profit are both possibilities. If you take a look at the historical data of prices, there are so many altcoins that have already given more than a thousand percent of profit over the years. In the same way that there are also a lot of altcoins that have given negative or even death certificates of their coins.

My point is that, choose the best altcoins. The most solid altcoins are those that have maintained their top spots for years. If you choose those that are pretty much unknown, you will most likely get rekt.

reconsider before you put money into altcoin, my suggestion is to minimize losses you can place money on the top altcoin in the market. related to HOLDing depends on how altcoin you hold, if you have altcoin that is difficult to develop it is a warning for you to take another altcoin option that is more feasible for long-term investment.

Indeed a truth ! Following these statistics , it’s only dangerous to hold some altcoins because by records , they will be flawed in a war or two ! So it’s good to choose what you hold and hold for long , when to sell high and when to buy back .

It seems holders are the biggest loser in crypto.  Why hold when you can actually increase your amount of token by simply trading the coin. Just swing trade it , buy low and sell. You  make profit and you still get to keep your token. Its a win win situation if you can trade at minimal chance of loss

That works great ... until it doesn't.

ETH holders years ago made a fortune. Swing trade at the wrong time, and you watch as your token becomes too expensive to buy back into.

So it can be worth doing in smaller amounts, or if you can guess the swings correctly. Just be aware that if you guess wrong, sometimes things can go very very wrong. There are also tax considerations to take into account, swing trading will turn all of your long term capital gains into short term... and unrealized gains into realized (at least for US people).

Depends on which altcoin you are holding. And how much it effect your portfolio. In this market most of the coins are altcoins so many people are in to altcoin. In also hold some alts but most of my portfolio are into bitcoin. Almost 60% maybe. 25-30 % into high cap coins or highcao altcoins. And then very less in some risky alts. This kind of risky alts can give you huge profit or nothing. So if you are into this alts with your full portfolio then you better should think about it.

That would be the worst advice ever, holding altcoins right now is the worst thing that can ever happen to any investor, when it comes to altcoins, the best thing to use them for is short term trade, it is a trade that you can get in and get out quick.

Altcoin are not much reliable for now to stay with them for the future, the moment that we see an increase in them, that is the point where we have to quickly remove them and look for bitcoin to invest in and i think that is actually what many people are doing right now, and this is the reason why bitcoin is gaining dominance for a while now, people are just tired of holding on altcoins, most especially their bull run, and bitcoin being the only performing coin, they are investing in it.

yes, the top altcoin in the market is the right choice to minimize losses, especially if the market is in a bad situation. It is not recommended to hold altcoin whose development is slow. I personally also have top altcoin like bnb, eth and usdt, what about you?

Most of these altcoins exist, but they are not in top 100, but in most cases they have bigger market than in the 2016. Compare it and you will see.
