Most of the people are for sure are buying altcoins but for this now only some but even me Im buying still because even we see a little a sign of increasing I believe they are preparing for huge pump happen. In the past few months bitcoin is only pumping so the people are thinking the altcoina not pump which is wrong because not all the time they have same movement bitcoin and altcoins.

There are a few days to happen the halving and to tell the truth most the members prefer to invest in altcoins. As you mentioned they realized some pumping price of altcoins after the halving. But l would say it is indefinite to predict it, l mean all of the altcoins can not be profitable, we must try to choose top altcoins. It is just my personal opinion.

Rarely I exchange my Bitcoins for some altcoins if there's an opportunity for me to earn some altcoins I would rather choose that option than to buy them. Only if I don't have many chances to earn some altcoin I want to have then I will use bitcoins I have and exchange them for an altcoin. It's good to have altcoins beside Bitcoin, we never know which one can explode and make x100-x1000 in a short time.

Yes, we should always hold some back-up funds in order to protect ourselves from the market because we don't know the price of altcoin will go even below compared to the current value. So we should always hold some back up funds in order to buy them even it drops below what we purchased previously.

I still have funds left to buy some altcoin that has potential, because I believe that someday the altcoin season will reappear. I was lucky to be able to buy it cheaply yesterday when almost all crypto dumps were up to 40-50% in just 1 day, just waiting for another 1-2 years to sell it and hoping I could get a big profit .

What happens in the remaining days of the year in altcoins will be pivotal to bitcoin run in 2021. I can see different responses in the market by exchanges to some altcoins and most are getting awareness on project development, more exchange listing, swap to mainnet, other cryptocurrency project partnership and publish of IEO listing dates. Institutions are positioning for some market takeover, it should be gradual and experience will take a big part in market entry this time. I feel altcoins is more sanitized but everyone is looking for the right time to get into the market.

btc never been stable .  many past halving was done but after that did the price became stable ? nope but ikd maybe this time is different because we saw how people waited for this one  .

 lots of preparation has been done and now halving was a succesor    . the more halving is equals to more difficulty right  ?  so people might hodl and cheerish thier coin compare on the past so maybe the price wont be volatile too much  this time   . still your idea of buying usdt is cool to counter the volatile effects of cryptos

Same thing, nothing's change, the only difference with the halving this year is the price did not pump really good .
maybe because of the current pandemic, so let it go, anyway, we will find out if this halving will have a good long term effect since it has not happen yet, scheduled today but we can wait for months to see or maybe by the end of the year.

but then if you got btc duing the dip, you'll surely able have sold it just recently.

Unfortunately, the first time I bought altcoins (J8T) under JET8 Foundation, I immediately lost all my money as the value of the tokens went from $0.10 on launch day, to $0.00001 within the span of a week.

Believe they cash out the capital and just forgot about the whole tokenomics and/or token buy-backs, an injecting funds back into the tokens.

Some other projects burn some remaining coins as well and set a safe 10% buffer in the back-end, just to control the pricing.

Unless projects are IEO or security-backed, I would say be very careful with all the ICO/ITO that are coming up - the industry is still mired with scammers unfortunately.

Indeed, the coins you say are good, but everyone has a different opinion. I prefer to have the top coins for regular trading because I know that in every increase there is a big profit.

LINK, ETH, BCH, TRX are coins that are already in my portfolio so I will see market movements until the bullrun comes.

Planning everything will help to attained the success that you are aiming, there are lots of Alts that you can consider as long as you do your research and you observe how the developers are doing behind the projects,. There's always relationship between choosing the project and the time frame that you are looking for holding your assets.
