If you can look back to the some posts in this thread, you will see that there are local casinos that are accepting bitcoin. Yes, for real. You can't gamble directly with bitcoin but you have to buy chips first and what's good with it, is that you can buy bitcoin for it.

Yes its already possible but you would still end up on using dollars or fiat but at least they are showing some adoption.

Do you mean traditional casino but adopt Bitcoin??   I think it will be very interesting because each player does not have to bother carrying a suitcase with large amounts of fiat money to traditional casino..  each player will be safe because every transaction they make is only in devices that store other Bitcoin/Crypto wallets such as smartphones, laptops, and watches.  I'm sure the future of traditional & modern casino will adopt digital money and cryptocurrencies.

I don't think that the gamblers will carry a suitcase because if in the traditional casino, every rich people will use a check or card to buy the coin in that casino so that it will help them to prevent the thief. But if the casino can transform by using bitcoin for making a bet, I think that would be simple than the check or card, because they don't need to use that thing and they only scan the barcode to convert their coin with the casino coin. Yes, maybe that will happen in the future after the government accepts cryptocurrency.

i think it will be better to not ask the casino for the coin. Bitcoin and ethereum are already being used by gamblers in gambling game and the casino just provides this feature. You must have these digital coins beforehand. Like for gambling with fiat, gamblers have fiat before gambling. If a casino provides the feature of buying digital currencies from them, that would end up in a lot of transactions.

The digital things only use at online casinos. For the offline casinos, I think it will be difficult if you use BTC/eth at the table.
IMO about offline casino's transaction, your BTC/eth must be deposited at the casino's wallet then exchange for casino's coin.
Maybe the casino's exchange rate: 1 coin = 1 sat

Considering the capital hold with casinos, I dont think that the casinos would move from public ledgers to crypto keeping in mind their proneness to hacking. Crypto being decentralized and anonymous make them not suitable for traditional casinos environment.

When this two combine then it will attract many players to play gamble but most of them they will not used bitcoin for payment due to its an expected value. The numbers are increasing or not is still not backed without proof. People here say this without providing proof so it is still a speculation. Thats is irrelevant in this case. A country where bitcoin is illegal does not come when you are trying to calculate the usage in legal form. Of course off the charts transactions occur but adding those into a statistical data would become tough.
