Buying the hype. This pursued many to getting scammed, they think that once the crowd is into it then the project looks legit. It's correct that no knowledge or lack of knowledge is one factor that makes someone gets into a scam project. Because the majority is into it and hearing a lot of hearsay on how 'legit and good' the project is, an investor that doesn't do research will never know that all of those words were used just to attract them and used for marketing.

Things why a person can easily get scammed in crypto-world

2. No knowledge about the project
3. Trust

This are the three main reason why they get easily scam
Greed, because there are a lot of promise by the campaign and the developer we easily believe that its true
investing a lot of money in the project that is garbage.
No knowledge also is the second reason because of the trend they just go and invest without any knowledge of the said project
Trust because they trust the people in the project which sometimes pretends that the person is a member of the project
they can easily decieved that once they invest , they will soon find out that the person is just impersonating , and not really
what all expected.

For me, the only reason why they always get scam is because they do not have enough knowledge about certain projects. We know some people always do invest even they do not have a background about the project and once they see project it is good enough they will also invest. Having proper conduct of research will totally help us to avoid scams, but still, many people always do not do it. If you going to invest in a new project make sure to check the team and make sure you have knowledge about the project before you conduct your investment.

It is hard to determined the scam project this days that even how hard you tried to become vigilant but still some of us become a victim of scams. So for me the most effective way to eliminate them is to have a very strong regulation because i think that the existing regulation is not enough because scam projects can still penetrate the market.

Most of the state reasons were mentioned, I will just add that there is a "promised high returns" which allow participants to be hooked up and immediately attract to that scam things. The need of money, the tight situation will make them fall for it.  Sad but therr are still tons of people who still fall for the fake projects. Even if DYOR is the key here, people still picking the wrong legit projects to join because they only care for the high return.

I think the most attractive feature is not having to work for your money and watch it come in daily like all those ponzi and HYIP schemes. Seeing crypto come in daily is nice and it feels like it will always last.
The scammers hope for this and prey on it. Just because the website looks like it is working and you see daily payouts doesn't mean it is legit. They will pay out certain members and always wait for you to make a second or a third deposit before they stop your account with withdrawing. This is why people get scammed easily. They want to believe they can get constant and ever-growing amounts of money without doing anything.

Most people that got scammed in crypto are new people in crypto, i've also scammed once by the person that i think really experts in crypto. Yeah, in crypto we should not trust 100% to people, we should do own research before investing

one more that I think is more important, which is "WANT TO RICH WITHOUT HARD WORK" and it is held by many beginners. because they are obsessed with old people who come with a lot of profit. the biggest mistake is at point 2. yes they don't learn about crypto, and just want the results. I often meet with this beginner. and I always say to learn first about crypto. Do not see the final results. if you don't want to learn it.

2. No knowledge about the project

Having no proper knowledge about the coin and just have FOMO drive in to several investors is what I see as one of the primary reasons as to why many got scammed. Getting hype about the project was easy back in 2017 where you can just pay these quality influencers to promote you but if the project failed to get funding, they will exit out.

Research is key and can be everything here in crypto so that you will be equipped with proper knowledge to know when to hop on the hype train or not. There are platforms that let you work for crypto to help with the a well-funded project's development like building dApps where the community can vote how much impact it can provide the coin.

Greed maybe a factor too but all people are greedy, most of the mistakes are coming on from wrong decision making due to lack of knowledge.

New investor quickly come up with investment decision. There are good promising project but mostly scam projects are coming. I believe investor needs do proper market survey visit trusted site, completely analyze the project and check its rating and whitepaper. These steps can help investor to verify the project.

If you learn and observe, most ICO projects are not successful! So scam will not be hard! It's now switched to IEO, but not much better, if the projects are supported by the big Exchange can be good, the rest will not succeed!

After 2017 projects many ICO got scammed, most of them failed to make the project successful. That's why until now, there's no assurance to determine the legit one, and it came at worst scenario when IEO launced this new way of dealing new tokens. Nothing has been changed, still it has no effect to the entire cryptocurrency community. Maybe it needs to have much advanced approach which is really needed to correct this certain issues.

Personally, I believe that anyone can become a scammer's tricks. Depending on what trick awaits the half user. Usually people who have no experience become victims of my fraudster. And in order to gain experience you need to get a large amount of inflormation. And for the future I advise you to be very careful to beware of dubious references. They are gambling thier money to  a high risk high return way of  investment.
We cant do anything they will learn it eventually when they experience lost from it, i just wish there are still capital to use after experiencing lost from it.

Yeah, you have picked out the most important three reason why people can't judge properly of scam project, along with these three I also want to add a reason which is regulation, Of course, there should have a proper set of policies and regulation when you start an ICO project, if there was regulation based on some criteria then you must have provided some basic things and the regulatory body could show positive or negative aspect regarding that project and people also find a good reason to invest or not in this platform. that's why. along with the lack of proper education, greedy for money and trust, I also blame this not having a proper regulation and policies on this system, Mind it, don't think that only people lost their money, it also cryptocurrency lost its credibility for good, so it's a massive thing.

Bigger exchanges make IEO for millions of dollars. I do not think the discount will be given to poor projects and it is supported by any exchange. The thing that will help us in this issue is the regulation and with its help manipulation and scamming can be easily countered.

People necessarily don't take out time to make any research and after falling for q cheap scam, they cry out. Some persons are still investing in cloud mining with a very high returns at this current state of the market. And such investors say nothing last forever, that even bitcoin will soon be replaced by another coin. How gullible they their thinking is.

People who easily get scammed are those who didn't learn from their experiences. Let's admit that most of us here got scammed but that should bring us a lesson to get rid of too much promises. If a certain project is too flowery with their promises and offering rewards which are too good to be true, then we must do a series of research before trusting it. Scammers will do everything to attract people to have more victims so we must always be aware of their strategies.
