This are the three main reason why they get easily scam
Greed, because there are a lot of promise by the campaign and the developer we easily believe that its true
investing a lot of money in the project that is garbage.
No knowledge also is the second reason because of the trend they just go and invest without any knowledge of the said project
Trust because they trust the people in the project which sometimes pretends that the person is a member of the project
they can easily deceived that once they invest , they will soon find out that the person is just impersonating , and not really
what all expected.

I agree. Money is the root of all evil, and getting it possibly quicker is simply just the icing on the cake (that every scammer is waiting for you to hand it over to them quickly as well). The top exchange has a lot of low fake volume instead of a bad exchange volume. The top exchange listed coins were also delisted from the exchange. Some projects also become inactive after the success of IEO. We are all doing our best to research but even though we got scammed. I would suggest that top coins are the right choice but for other coins, price dump.

And this collaboration with big players also don't guarantee a good profit if you invest in those projects. Also trusting a website just because there are big names written on it and is having a good interface makes us vulnerable to getting scammed, the initiative of exchanges starting IEO's is actually making the crypto world a little scam free as the ICO were amongst the biggest scams in the history, a lot of good looking ICO turned out to be rogue and now this trend has changed, those projects which are legit are always looking towards gettign listed on an exchange for the IEO and not opting for an ICO.
