What's worse: cigar addiction or gambling addiction

I consider cigar addiction, as much worse than gambling it destroys the mind and the body
On gambling you will lose all your money but you can always recover that, if you lose your health you lose everything

This is exactly what I want to say, as a problem of so many proportions can be compared to losing money, smoking cigars entails a lot more harm than gambling. We must not place these two dependencies in the same point.

Let me explain your opinion more further.

Addiction on both is deadly, I agree that cigarette can cause lung cancer but did you know that it is not the cigarette that cause cancer, it is your cells in your body, if is weak enough that can't fight bacteria or harmful chemicals, then cancer cells will build up in your body. However we must also keep in mind that gambling could also weaken our body that can cause to death, or even make enemies by gambling, either you are indebt with somebody and you can't pay him therefore he killed you, or you are too good in gambling and someone killed you because of envy.

It is easier to recover in gambling addiction with the help of your relatives and parents. In cigar addiction, it will be harder especially if you have health problems already that.

The problem with being addicted into cigars is that it will be hard for them to stop it immediately for some reasons. They can minimize it from lets say 10 cigars each day to just 8 and then 5 then 2 then 1 then stop it totally. This is the reason too why I don't want to use cigar because of the health problem it can give to a person within the years of using it.

i think both cigar and gambling addiction have the same treatment when it comes to involving friends/family supports.

and of course any kind addiction will never be easy to be completely healed , you know because that addiction feeling that addiction behavior is hitting you in the brain which means it will be so hard to erase all of those memories especially the sweet one.

Yes, the problem with addiction is self control. Indeed, when someone has been addicted to anything at least they no longer have good self control but as long as they can enjoy cigarettes and gambling in a reasonable stage then I think it doesn't matter too if indeed he has a healthy lifestyle like sports and other activities.

I would like to say that i can quit gambling for a long time period and it's easier then quitting tobacco for me. But definition of gambling is quite vague, and comes big a broad spectrum like addiction itself. Is investing in altcoins itself gambling? I would like to think not and i like to think that i know what i am doing, but i am a little biased on this subject.

Smoking used to have some benefits. Smoking men used to look good, more manly. Smoking used to be seen as something that calms nerves and gives our hands something to do. Now you can see it's all a myth. Most people don't smoke and it's even rude to smoke at someone's house or at parties because other people might not like it. No. Why investing would be gambling? It's not the same. When you lose at a gambling game, you lose all your bet. It's not the same with investments. When you do a bad investment you only lose a part of your capital.

I don't have much to say about which addiction are worse than the other. Both will make a person addicted to it once a person able to try it. My honest opinion about these two addiction that both can be dangerous and will cost you lots of money once a person is addicted to something. Gambling addiction is a little bit different since you have a chance to earn big or small amount of money but the amount of money that you have won is not enough to cover the total money that you have lose in gambling.

I have suffered addiction and I can explain that sometimes we cannot explain exactly the reason it happened. I always thought I was highly disciplined and I understood the rule of quitting at a specified time but gambling obviously proved me wrong. I discovered I couldn't just control myself whenever it came to gambling and at that point I knew I wasn't on track.

I am convinced that gambling addiction has nothing to do with self-control and in my opinion, gambling is just naturally addictive and anyone could fall victim as a constant players hence I would say that cigar addiction is much better because this one is self-inflicted and can be controlled but gambling addiction is mysterious and to control or put a stop to it is always a great challenge.

I also think that both addictions are pretty noxious. Also, both addictions lead you to waste a lot of money. But you can at least control your emotions while gambling to save your health. Smoking inevitably hurts your health at the same time. I'd better choose gambling rather than smoking cigars.

My grandmother do have an addiction to cigarettes since she was just a teenager, she told us that she stopped smoking for a week but once she was seeing other people who are smoking, she can't resist the hunger of her lips to light up a cigarette, and now she's 74 years old and still smoking, but not those cigarettes that have manufacturers, she have her own tobacco garden and it is the one she is smoking, much healthier I guess.

You see, addictions are all the same, you can't control it, even if you wanted to, it became a part of yourself.

Cigarette smoking and gambling are two different activities that one can get addicted to it. Each of them is harmful in a way. Gambling can ruin the financial standings of any individual and this can make that person resort to social vices such as stealing, promiscuity etc. On the other hand, smoking cigarette can harm the one doing it as well as standby neighbours who are classified as second hand smokers. Cigaretter smokers earn up with heart problems as well as serious and complicated lung diseases.

What if someone doesn't have a family? Will that make smoking worse for them than gambling? Also, have you heard about division of property? If you have that in marriage, bad choices of a spouse won't affect the whole family that much. Another point is that you can be addicted to gambling and spend only your personal money on it, the money you got left after covering all the bills and feeding your family, money you'd otherwise saved up or spent on your hobbies.

Smoking on the other hand affects the health of people around you. The family of a smoker after 10 years with him will have an increased risk of lung cancer, just like him.

That is the problem with gambling. Gamblers do not realize the destructive nature of this game because it ruins them slowly. Whereas, body diseases do show their symptoms beforehand. Now gambling also involves money due to which it is easy for most of the players to become greedy and try making it as an income source. Many also try to recover their loses and eventually lose more.
