If I have to pick one, I'd try to stop gambling and start smoking or I can have both I'm sure going to die anyway.

Seriously, both addiction is hard to stop and both are worse. I'm a smoker myself that even now that I have a family of my own, I will still sneak out when all are asleep just to have a cigarette break. I'm not losing a ton of money when I smoke though.

Both has risk:

Cigar= Health
Gambling = Addiction/ Mess up ones life

Benefits:

Cigar= I don't see any benefits
Gambling = Entertainment/possible for you to earn money


Both is addictive and if I do have to choose then i'd rather gamble,yes
its way more faster on losing money than cigar but at least I'm not compromising my health.

To be fair we don't compare these two to each other, at least not me cause you started topic with this subject.
On another hand if we still discuss about that, then I would say addiction is addiction, doesn't matter whether it's cigar or gambling cause they have one thing common: Dependence.
Your brain releases dopamine when you smoke cigar, for some people that light headed feeling is amazing, for me personally, I hate cigarette cause of it's feelings. Brain does the same when you gamble too, for example when you win, it rewards you with dopamine and noradrenaline, these two hormone makes you happy. Your brain knows that if you gamble, you have possibility to win and if you win, it's rewarding for your brain so... You know...
Worse is the one that's uncontrollable and affects your life negatively.

Both can actually can compromise your health so if you have both vices then better stop both, they may of different terms and are different but both is bot good for a persons well being. Cigar is bad for the health because of its chemical and at the same time cigar now are getting expensive. Gambling on the other hand sure can give entertainment but it can also make people stressed.

Yes, I do agree with you that both topics require a serious approach.

However, that comparison isn't making sense since as you said they have different terms. It should be discussed differently and separately, on other topics and not as direct discussion comparing the addiction between gambling and cigar.

The source or reasons for being addicted to those two things depend on different factors since they have a different environment.

But the bottom line is, whatever everyone got addicted to, our mind plays a big role here e.g because of interest, desires, comfortability, eagerness to something, etc.

When we do compare on the number of things affected among the two then we can definitely say that gambling do really had wide scope of effects which isnt only on a single things but lots where you do end up on messing everything including health, relation to your family,  etc.
Unlike on cigar which do only affect directly your health and do only take effect for long time. Gambling effects can be felt directly or a short period of time knowing that money can be easily spent or lost when you do go all in.

For me, it's based on what you can easy to access or provide.
For example, you have lot of money and you can buy 1pack of cigarrete for only 2$.
And in gambling, it's also depends because there's a lot of way to gamble, via online or live, so it also depends which way has easy access to gamble. But for me, the cigar is much addictive since it's easy to access, you can smoke anytime and anywhere.

Both worse, both can ruin one's life and family relationships. Once addiction happen in any circumstances it will affect your system and everyone around us, not just financially, socially and more in our health. Both affects our health, cigar can cause death easily same with addiction in gambling due to too much stress and not sleeping since scared of missing out the chance to play, to bet or roll the dice. I know people personally in real life who have got lung cancer from smoking and the same cant be said for people I know who gamble

Both addictions are worst and will make that person lose everything, not just his health but also his money. In cigars, someone gets a feeling of satisfying to taste something which given by cigars. And in gambling, someone gets an exciting feeling to play many games. But in cigars, we can add health as one thing that can damage our body in the long term. All in all, both addictions are not good for our life, and it will ruin what we build before.

Addiction to sports is not good too because we only think about sports. We need to balance our life between many things that we do so our life can get harmony, and we can enjoy life itself.

Both of them are bad habits that are difficult to break. I am a smoker and at first I will never be addicted to it, and can stop anytime, but once you have started it, it is just like an impulse and you will look for it to the point that even if you are sick you crave for it. both are only the same in terms of addiction. it depends on a person if what they are willing to lose, it is only health or money or both. cigar won't hurt your pocket and it will affect your health and your family while gambling can affect everything in your life if you cant control it

If I had to choose one, I'd choose cigar addiction. Money can always be earned and as long as you're really into it, I doubt it could kill you as long as you know how to manage your money without asking for debts and all of that. On the other hand, cigar addiction not only affects you but everyone around you plus the environment itself. Taking into account all those factors, cigar addiction is generally worse than gambling addiction. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean that gambling discussion is good since it is also rather bad. Anyhow, any type of addiction is rather bad, everything must be done rather moderately instead for a healthy progress and relationship with that type of action.

difference between the two is that cigarittes are more restricted especially in public places but gambling are somehow accepted  and theres more base players on gambling because everyone can be involved with it while on cigarittes not really  . before i have never been into gambling but until cryptos came out i then imediately got addicted to it but smoking ? no i never tried it even at once or even most of my friends are smoking  .

But considering between the two options, I think cigar addiction is worse. Well, obviously, it has a very bad effect on your health and the signs can be obvious in some parts of your body like your lips. Also, it can also harm other people's health through second hand or even third hand smoke.

They are both addictions, therefore they are both a disease and should be stopped. Cigar addiction, however, is the typical substance addiction while gambling addiction is more directed toward a person's behavior. Both are destructive, as true to any addictions, but I guess gambling is destroying more than just cigar can. I mean, cigar addiction is basically killing oneself slowly but gambling addiction is killing the self, the relationship with others, the family, the work, the resources, and so on. It seems there are more bad effects from the unstoppable urge to gamble than the unstoppable urge to smoke.
